Re: Positive RNS required So if nobody is in profit at this level it follows all the sales are from a losing position. Just when the company is potentially on the brink of getting it together. Cutting their loses or kicking themselves. We should know with the next few months.
Positive RNS required We could be doing with an RNS something along the lines. Plant update completed successfully and now running like a bullet train. The drift needs to come to an end sharpish. Can't be many holders in profit here if any.
zinc price should bounce from here on technicals testing the September low so I am looking for a higher low close followed by a move up. The September low was also the 2009 low so an important long term floor. I am tracking the ETF on IG index, chart also shows that it is oversold on RSI and stochs.
Re: maintenance shut down dates Fingers crossed they know what they are doing and how to do it. Hopefully not getting the chuckle brothers to carry out the work.
Re: maintenance shut down dates My thanks for this... I had assumed the work started much earlier in October from their last RNS.Hopefully, ZOX will update us promptly once the plant is fully operational again, mid-November.
maintenance shut down dates I believe that the plant closed on 22nd Oct and they hope to restart on 13th Nov ex heat exchangers
Re: 12p share price target... I have just bought some more @ 8p, haven't bought any Zox for a long time but agree now is a good time to top up and average down, av price now 21p which feels a little more in range, let's hope so!
12p share price target... I agree about the 12p prospect, but only once production re-starts successfully post removal of the heat exchangers. We should hear more on this soon, although they are bound to wait a few weeks to monitor production levels and stability of the new environment before reporting back to the market.Without the insulating effect of the heat exchangers, ZOX should comfortably meet the full production targets in terms of throughput and zinc recovery.Near 8p a share, this is a potentially a good time to buy in, if one accepts the production and zinc price risks, but I have enough exposure here within my overall portfolio.
100k Batches 9 x 100k share trades on Friday. Big volume for a normally quite stock. I see this getting over the 12p mark soon.
Re: Zinc price v strong today Found this on Glencore discussion (Sounds positive for ZOX in the medium term and what they believe is the true value of zinc):-"Glencore is announcing today a 500,000 tonne reduction of contained zinc metal mine production across its operations in Australia, South America & Kazakhstan. The main reason for the reduction is to preserve the value of Glencore's reserves in the ground at a time of low zinc and lead prices, which do not correctly value the scarce nature of our resources. These changes, which represent around one-third of Glencore's annual zinc production, will reduce fourth quarter 2015 mine production by approximately 100,000 tonnes of contained zinc metal. "These mines were not working at a loss (unlike the copper mines in africa that suspended production) Like with thermal coal earlier in the year, this is another sign that GLEN is prepared to cut production and revenue (and, ruthlessly, costs) to await better prices and margins in future, rather than up production (the RIO model). NOT the actions of a company that believes it may be in danger of going out of business anytime soon.
Zinc price v strong today ETF is up 7.7% on back of Glencore cut backs
