ZIOC is still a good buy for long term ZIOC is being managed professionally, costs are being contained and useful work over the next 12 months (see ZIOC RNS & financial reports) is planned so that the resources can be extracted, piped, shipped and sold as soon as practicable after the price of iron ore improves sufficiently - as it surely will in a year or so.The current very low price per share of ZIOC (below 2.5p) represents excellent value to top-up and average down on ZIOC holdings, as I did today...These are in my SIPP as one of my longer term investments.

Re: Couple of interesting Articles [link] of iron ore to China from Australia's Port Hedland declined last month from March to the lowest level since November, according to figures on Monday. Shipments to China totaled 30.1 million tons in April, compared with 31.2 million tons in March and 28.9 million tons a year earlier, according to data from the Pilbara Ports Authority.Steel consumption in China will shrink 4 per cent this year and a further 2 per cent in 2016, ANZ said. Iron ore will average US$55 a ton next year, down from an earlier forecast of US$60, and US$60 in 2017, down from US$63, the bank estimated.Asia's largest economy grew in the first quarter at the slowest pace since 2009 amid the property market slowdown. The world's biggest maker of steel buys iron ore from overseas to supplement local supplies.BLOOMBERG
Volume Has picked up over the last week... Seller should be cleared soon enoughWatch out for the gap though
Re: price Someone was "dumping" a lot of ZIOC stock so all the Automated buys at 2.5p went through, then a lot more at 2.6p... but this seems to have slowed now. It's tempting to buy more near 2.5p, but I have enough given the likely very long term recovery.
price bought in today at what I call a bargain price.Iron ore prices are on the way up.
Re: Patience Agreed... Just bit of entertainment from the mm's
Re: Patience That said - tiny volume.......only £8,000 worth!? Odd to see such a rise on such a small amount being traded surely? Any explanations? Or just MM's playing around?
Re: Patience Yes indeed! What is stirring here? Surely there must be something positive leaking through the gaps for such a rise when all around is looking so gloomy?
Patience Wakey wakey
Re: Patience Certainly needed it...Anyone still out there ?
Re: Glencore iron ore strategy Agreed, this ZIOC project is likely to be on the back-burner for a good while yet, but we must now be close to the floor in regard to the share price now; driven recently I think by people taking their tax losses against profits elsewhere this tax year - perhaps planning to buy back in when the price of Iron ore starts improving again as it must one day given the finite resources. From here, the only way should upwards (at least post 6th April)...
Glencore iron ore strategy Grand Bornand posted this on ADVFN.Unless a sale appears, the outlook looks flat and grey[link]
Re: Can the share price go much lower? You could be right and I will certainly top up again nearer 3p having done so last week at 4.25p.Sooner or later this iron ore project will start given the finite nature of such resources, and I'm happy to top up close to or below 4p a share with small amounts of money (when available) several years ahead of profitability. When in full production, the SP should easily climb back over 50p.
Re: Can the share price go much lower? Yes it can go lower IMO, I think it will be sub 3p before the year is out - AVOID
