Re: Trading update Yes, and I would think the plunging pound will help the financial performance.
Trading update Good figures in update. I particularly like increased dividend and reduced debt. In view if recent SP falls I would have expected SP to rise more than 3.7%, Perhaps SP will rise more next week.
Re: Bought in Yes the managers have fairly long history of selling
Re: Bought in I bought in on 20 Sep for similar reasons to Warren B (if I put full nick name in my post rejected for bad language). XPP popped out of data mining for high yield, well covered, low debt, profitable with overall good total return. Bit concerned about management selling shares. Chairman selling over £2 million pounds worth I feel has depressed SP.
Bought in Just bought in to this company. Like their business, their history and of course their well covered dividend and very little debt.Smaller company than my usual buy, but hope to keep it as a long term holding.

Solid Annual Results Have just been reading annual results RNS. Looks solid to me, with open acknowledgement of where market pressures lie balanced by upbeat progress across the sectors and geographies. XPP is one of my biggest holdings and, while it is a little underwater after recent market gyrations, I'm happy to hold.MM
Re: Friday's trading update Difficult to see any downside other than the general market influencesHardly any debt, good dividend and a broad customer base being satisfied with a focussed product portfolioI particularly like the statement regarding the order intake at the newly acquired American Company and the synergies being acted upon
Re: Friday's trading update There was also a sizeable uptick on US orders, which if you remember was the only really negative point in the 3rd quarter figures. IMO the share price will stay firm ahead of the full year results on 22 Feb.
Friday's trading update The iii news feed appears to have missed FrIday's trading update [link] OK to me. Not spectacular but solid and clearly articulated. Roll on 22 FebMM
Thin volumes So one share is traded and the price goes up 55p - strange times! There are usually some exaggerated SP movements with XPP but this takes the biscuit.SG
Re: SP fall on today's Trading Update I think it was the negative tone on the US market that pushed XPP's share price back to its "base level" of about 1560p.I sold half my considerable XPP holding (some of which I bought quite a few years ago at about £1.50!) when the price peaked recently at 1725p. I am now wishing that I'd sold it all and bought half of it back today! As a long-term investor in XPP, the company seems a strong one with good prospects. Perhaps the full-year figures (due early next year) will prove its merits and take the SP higher. I may buy some more just before then if the price stays at about today's level.
SP fall on today's Trading Update This morning's trading update looks pretty sound to me but the market clearly has taken against it - SP down 90p/5.45% as I write. The directorspeak still indicates that they are trading in line with expectations so why the negative reaction? Does it reflect the slower US market, while not giving credit to the stronger European one? Is this a buying opportunity, methinks??MM wondering whether to shake out the piggy bank
