Travelled a long way over the year.... If you look back on this one year chart it has travelled a long way... Dec16 price was 90p[link]
Re: Onwards and upwards Decided to bank some more real profit from 47p in July14 which gives me 366% gain.Still holding the some shares.atb
Re: Onwards and upwards Yes, good to see them continuing higher.......will look to lighten up more if we reach broker targets or more.......atb
Onwards and upwards Now well past the 200 mark and rising steadily towards that 220+ target mark. Looking forward to the next update.
Re: XLM eligible for BPR relief for IHT? The only way you can get the answer to the question - does XLM qualify? - is by asking the question after death. Not very convenient. However if the broker had a client who died whilst holding XLM shares then the broker has the answer for that date and he can use this information when discussing with other clients.
Re: XLM eligible for BPR relief for IHT? Thanks for that. This article also discusses the issues:[link] addition to where the share is listed it also has to meet various criteria, which hopefully XLM does. This article also points out that the share does not have to be held for 2 years - it can be sold and replaced with another eligible share to complete the 2 year qualifying period.
Re: XLM eligible for BPR relief for IHT? This is a really awkward question. One would expect a clear answer - is XLM eligible for BPR and therefore exempt from IHT or not? I do not understand why there is in fact not a clear-cut answer. Why have the relevant authorities not listed which AIM stocks are eligible? It is a similar question as to which are ISA eligible, and that has a defined answer. The criteria are vague and on first look I would have guessed XLM not to be eligible so I would be very interested to hear why the brokers think otherwise.I would hope it is a few years before I have to consider IHT but the use of AIM stocks to avoid it is definitely something I want to follow up.Thanks for raising this issue.
Re: XLM eligible for BPR relief for IHT? Oldf, Thanks for responding. I am relieved as both my wife and I have holdings in XLM.You have made my day.GL,Lawdoc
Re: XLM eligible for BPR relief for IHT? My broker is Rowan Dartington
Re: XLM eligible for BPR relief for IHT? My ISA account contains only AIM shares which are supposed qualify for the 2 year then no inheritance tax game. Last week my broker confirmed to me that he considers that my XLM share qualify.
Re: Onwards and upwards ....and it has. So far so good.
XLM eligible for BPR relief for IHT? Hi all, Does any XLM investor know if XLM is eligible for Business Property Relief providing relief from Inheritance tax if held for two years as an AIM share? Thanks for your guidance.
Re: Onwards and upwards Hi Claude,Yes, I hope it continues higher to that broker figure of 2.20 with my remaining lot. Do not want to play "hindsight" later and regret not taking some off the table while the price was strong.atb
Onwards and upwards If it can settle well away form 200p - say 207p and up, then I think it will continue to moveforward to the next brokers forecast of 220p. A lot of growth in this one yet. All IMHO of course. One of the stars of AIM.
