Re: analysis of counter bid possibility And they seem to have crept over the 75% threshold as of yesterday; RNS this morning. Perhaps the substantial Scandinavian trust/holding was waiting on a sweetener? Looking for the uplift in my SIPP next week...
Re: analysis of counter bid possibility Seems to be 55% acceptance as of 6th June, including 31% pre-owned by CTI, according to document on Waterman website. So they are still searching for another 20% to get full ownership, which means some substantial hold-outs?. Declared bid unconditional, which seems to mean acceptances will be paid by 20th June?
Re: Dazed and Confused Nope; don't know what ADVFN is..! Sorry, only just seen message, which didn't flag up to me.
analysis of counter bid possibility the market seems to think that a counter bid is very possible.there is a lot of volue going through at just over 140p so some-ome is preventing CTI buying more stock.there would defo be others interested in WTM it is just a question have CTI got first mover advantage with their knock out bid and directors on baord?i do think a bidder could justify 150p but 160p would seem exceptional.Very interestingly the ceo sold 250k of shares at 140p last week.if he was an ordinary investor that makes sense to take CASH now, but as interested party it seems as if he is not sure the bid will go through, which obviously he wouldn't do - so I can only conclude that he has done so to give CTI certainty over some more shares (to take them > 30%) which to me implies that CTI are nervous of a counter bid - which explains why such a high bid in the first instance. Where the directrs able to negotiate and say 'we know ABC are also interested so you best bid big and firm'Time will tell. All IMHO, DYOR + BoLWTM is in my top5 hldgs
Dazed and Confused Dazed and ConfusedDo you use the ADVFN boards? If so could you drop me line on there so I can direct message you. I am 'Norbert Colon' on there.Cheers!

Re: at 77p analsyis of INTERIMS Anyone got a view on the timeline for this deal closing and shareholders being paid out ?Great outcome !Well done to all patient holders .
Re: at 77p analsyis of INTERIMS Well done the WTM board for negotiating a good exit price. As my previous analysis I reckoned value was between 120p and 160p.The situation was similar to INTERBULK at the time in that u devalued business by the stock market is worth a lot lot more to new co. Interestingly the price at 136 - 140p seems firm....but surely it's dreaming to hope of any counter off .After the celebration, time to look for the next one )All IMHO, DYOR and BoLWTM is in my top5 hldgs
Re: Kerching... Although, looking back through my SIPP, i did buy £2000 worth at 155p back in May 2006, and sold them at 35p after 5 years. But have been adding again to original holding over past two years, and easily cover that 'loss'.
