Copper up and results soon Reading the press this weekend points to more rises in the copper price in the next weeks with hopefully a + $6000 level. Export bans in Indonesia (2nd largest mine), up and coming strikes in Chile (largest mine) and a tick up in demand seem to point that way. Maybe the last chance to top up at the crazy prices before we see some interesting action. This will be especially true as the debt starts to come down. All eyes will be on the C1 costs as we know that production has resumed to the 17K level in October. If they can get the C1 cost to close to $4K or less then we should be in for a good ride in the next couple of months as the first results that might show a profit are due March 1. This could be 4-5p by the end of the year if the cooper price holds out and they get that C1 to £3800 promised. But of course remember it's Weatherly so we could well see an unexpected curved ball!
Re: SOLG or XEL Firstly XEL had no profit margin with heavy oil and low flow rates... never will so it was never an a seriouse investment unlike Hurricaine Engery whos flow rates at the time are massive. Most sensible investors switched luckily.WTI's margins hang in the ballence and by the looks of it always risks being so and will never be a CAML but there is some potential. So its a higher risk reward play. Not many producers with a tiny market cap like WTI.When you buy a resource stock make sure margins are high or hold on to your hat (and some in here have held on for some time!)
SOLG or XEL Just been looking at both the XEL and SOLG BB's. Depressing whats happened at XEL, some of those guys have been psoting for years and now they've been totally wiped out. SOLG on the other hand has gone up from 2p to nearly 30p. I sincerely hope we will do a SOLG and not an XEL!

Re: New prospect AND $2.65/lb! If WTI can keep to their targets, dont have any more production issues and the CU price keeps heading north, this will be heading well past 2p.... IMVHO...Inns

Re: price rise ? nice to see CAF nearly doubling yesterday!
price rise ? Is WTI price rise being driven by CAF going up or is it the reverse ?
