Why is no one posting on here? A long way to go to my 7p average (will it ever recover to that?) but surprised that no one has any comment to make upon this meteoric rise. What do y'all think?tclr
Re: Share price Could we be about to here something BIG!!!
Re: Share price Blimey.... Whats got this on peoples radar?? The volume and number of trades is rather unusual for this little sleepy company..Yep - Still here and waiting after many years!!Inns
Re: Share price I thought this was on a slow road to recovery what with copper price gradually increasing as well but it just seems destined to get worse and worse (like just about all my AIM holdings)tclr
Share price Every time I look at WTI share price I just get more depressed, will it ever lift.
Re: Interesting article Interesting indeed. All the signs point to demand for copper going up and supply becoming constrained. When we add electric cars and a potential tipping point when Apple and others enter the market that demand will increase further. So with Weatherly its the same story as 5 years ago. It's a wait and be patient game. That said, the huge risk is that the money and the patience of Orion will run out before the the cu price goes up. As an old time WTI investor we also have to reckon with a curved ball coming our way. It's not all going to be good news and I hope above most other things that the company will be sincere. The July results due in the next weeks are a big test for Craig who promised consistency and steady progress. Lord knows we need something good after Brexit.
Interesting article Here is an interesting article.... indeed I had not realised that hospitals are looking/implementing copper surfaces to reduce 'bugs'....too long to post here but here is the link[link]
debt restructuring "Weatherly has announced that it has concluded a formal agreement with Orion Mine Finance to further defer the start of its debt repayment until February 2017. Thereafter, each repayment will be increased so that the debt is cleared by February 2020. In exchange for agreeing to the deferral, Orion has the right to buy up to 700 tonnes of copper cathode each month at a price of US$5,000 per tonne (copper is currently trading at US$4,630 per tonne). We..."finnCap's note on research tree.
finnCap's note from this morning from Research Tree.... Re: re; 25% of CAF.... hmm....might be enough to buy a semi in Billericay.....can't see it stretching to developing a Namibian lead/zinc project though.
Re: re; 25% of CAF.... How do you work that out?The balance sheet shows they have 675K cash and owe 270K including the ECE loan. While the central office expenses had reduced to 0.5M last year I would expect a much bigger reduction this year with the removal of the Weatherly office from London. ECE is the main shareholder so they could well extend the loan terms. I think the key here is the price of zinc that is doing somewhat better than copper. Agreed its not a great position but there maybe life yet.
re; 25% of CAF.... Just in case no one has noticed CAF is no longer viable as a going concern. The asset appears to have been milked over the years and that's a pretty poor show IMO. .....What a waste. No reflection on the new WTI management though.
Re: Weatherly what if ... Yes this company would certainly be over £50m market cap. But I am not so sure about the future of copper in the near future.
Weatherly what if ... Hi all. I would be interested in punters views on the potential SP/value of WTI assuming production continues ok at 20K pa C1 3500 ish, Cu price goes back to say 6K and at some point Orion's expensive loan is swapped out for something more favourable. What would be a realistic target price? What value would CAR add if it started producing zinc? Could WTI be subject to a takeover given a proven resource and a steady production of clean copper. One would assume that the major shareholders would want more than the 2p paid so is 3-4p a realistic target?
Little by Little ! Another step in the right direction. !
