Re: shares Hi, fishoutof, As far as Watchstone shares go I think there will be a very big future problem with SG, but there might be a small window to buy and sell when all the worst news comes out and the shares fall too far, but even then a person might need to be very quick, to buy and sell but not to hold, there is no rush to buy, I always liked to buy something I wanted if I made money on shares, with Blinkx they were buying companies to make money, and i felt the boss SC was useless in business, but was good with tech. I cannot tell if WTG have the right boss or if they need to bring someone in, I will watch and see how it goes out of interest but as I said I am no longer buying shares, a few years ago I bought shares in a Chinese business then I saw they had given a loan to a relative for his business, but they got nothing in return, so that minute I sold half my shares, then waited a day or two and sold the other half, the market would have given me a bad deal if I sold them all at the same time, I am not rich, and it was asked if I had a grudge against eagle, well I was fighting for justice for someone from UK in Africa, that started over ten years ago, and that is the main part of the book, I had not looked at shares for 6 or 9 months and found eagle had joined in with another guy in America slagging me for that length of time when I was not replying he thought I was a coward, but I was not even looking at discussion boards or shares, the American guy was a nutter high on something and offering anyone to join or buy from him, I am sure eagle was not into that. I cannot return to Africa for some time, I will explain more through time in my personal web site you can get from the previous WTG discussion.I was remembering about the company in China, when I told the broker/dealer to sell the other half of my shares he asked why I was selling, also the company had told him they were going to expand and make big profits, I am sure he and others also had shares in the company, I told him first sell my shares and when he had sold them I would discuss my reasons, he quickly sold my shares, I think he must have had his own money invested, I noticed after his phone call to me another quite large sale went through, I also thought the company would grow and expand, but giving a relative company money might be ok in China, but not for me.I miss my friend Les Brown who refused to be dishonest, and one of the film directors who I hope will make a film he and his brother refused a massive bribe, Tom W. he points out companies that have questions to answer or as he says its individual persons that have questions to answer, I am going to put the closing price 30/06/017 of WTG on my calendar and watch the WTG director and SG battle and see how the share price finishes at the end of the year. I think the battle will last a lot longer.best wishes from safarinorman at ya hoo . com
Re: shares Hi Norman ...sorry for not replying earlier. Lovely to hear youre still full of busy. I wish i was as adventurous as you but i havent got the wonga ... the big D halted me in my tracks. I see blinkx has recovered ... lost a lot there ...should have held on! Not seen Eagle for ages ... hoping he.s learnt to do a smidgeon of humility. Tk care. Fish
Re: shares Hi Oilovlam, I have never held any shares in QPP, I was interested because I thought Rob Terry SG and QPP was interesting because something just did not seem right, and the whole thing is not over, I found it strange when there were serious questions to answer, that people still invested money.--- The painting business in Tanzania I cannot control from UK, and the same as the gin business, the UK/Scottish Whisky business has invested in other products in Britain, the supermarkets are selling gin and whisky at the same price, so imagine one product takes at least 3 years until it is ready, the other takes 4/5 days, so the whisky industry can increase and deliver or cut down on the production of gin as demand rises or falls within a few days, That is where a traditional industry in Scotland has taken on board a new product that will let it expand and make more profits.--- The book was originally going to be written by Les Brown who wrote Real hard cases, I was working on a film about one of the longest unsolved cold cases in Scotland and I found some information and passed it on to Les, but Les got ill with strokes, and as I worked for newspapers film and TV, I have already had newspaper and a film company interested, I am not a writer, and Les worked with a newspaper writer on his books, and although Tom has nothing to do with my book, he does point to companies where his view is negative, and as I think anyone investing in any company should read the positive and the negative views then make up their own mind, but Tom cannot make me any money because as I said before I am not going to buy/sell shares in the future, I do not have a view on the present management of QPP but interested to see how the fight with SG will go. ---end of typing for today.
Re: shares sNorman, bit of a big at Eagle(51) isn't it? You seem to be holding a grudge....didn't think you had lost any money on QPP. Thought you were too busy setting up painting businesses on the serengeti. Or writing your best seller about Africa...you aren't Wilbur Smith are you....no?!? I'm surprised you write so eloquently.....I almost feel like 'I'm in 'Out of Africa'....not one of yours? Shame.Keep following Tom...he'll make you rich.....sorry...richer.
Re: shares Hi fishoutof,I remember you well, greetings.I am not going back to Tanzania for a long time [ I think ] I love the country and people [the poor people not the very rich corrupt level that is found in most African countries, the new president just stopped 10,000 non government employees receiving wages, that is how high the corruption had become.I would never invest in this share, in fact I am not going to invest in any shares, I will hope to start my own web site selling my own paintings, after I finish my book which must be after the trial, then there might be a film made. There is oil and gas in Africa, but they blah blah for years.Remember even the best ''tech'' solution, share it has to make money, not just be jam tomorrow share that keeps buying other companies, with this share, they are lawyers, and this will go on and on, and I don't think it will be jam tomorrow, it will more likely be a lemon tomorrow share.Did you notice that whisky companies are into gin in a big way ? the reason is whisky takes 3 to 21 years, but gin takes 3 to 5 days to make, and so many people have their own gin distilleries, [ I drink milk ]And I do not know if I will ever have enough time to design for whisky or gin in the future, I have so many paintings to finish. In my book I will be telling of an actor director that was making a film, and he and his brother did not see me, they thought all the crew was away for lunch, they were talking about their film and the money was running out, but the director brother had a phone call from Rome, the head of the church representative offered them enough money to make 3 films if they stopped making the film they were making because it would not show the church in a good light, they talked and refused the bribe, they were also threatened with excommunication from the church, they were strong religious brothers but the brothers agreed the corruption had to be told because of the female victims and their childs that were sold. So there are people that fight corruption no matter the odds against them.So Tom W. I hope will save some share holders their money, but because a person is right does not mean they will win, it just makes it more difficult for crooks to win.best wishes from safarinorman at yah o o . c o m [join the word and contact me there anytime]
Re: shares Hi Norman ...you wont remember me but I.m glad your Africa venture seems to be still on track. You were always a gent. Tk care Norm.
shares In the past there was this guy called Eagle that kept posting here, and he saw nothing wrong about the management, and if anyone followed him they had every chance to lose 100% of their money, which I think will still come through time.I tried to say here that everyone should look at both sides, and make up their own minds. The reason was I was interested to see if a company lied, or more to the point individuals lie, and if a company sent lawyers letters out to stop negative comments, or information that was not true.A lot was said about T. at Share Prophets but it was mostly personal attacks. When you read the discussions about a company and alleged corruption this might amaze most people, but there are countries that the people in power are all corrupt, in countries in South America, and Africa, I have finished a book d eath of a dissident Alexander Litvinenko and the person in charge of his country was trained just to lie.So to find that some scams are in place to rob individuals out of money by a small group of people in a company is not new. I no longer deal in shares, and I have to wait until after a trial in Africa before I publish a book, sometimes a single person can get rid of corruption in a limited area, I still look at a few shares for a break in writing, so now back to writing regarding Africa for me.
S&G Claim Anyone who still owns these shares must be stark raving bonkers. They are the subject of not one but two High court claims, one of which is for a whopping £637 Million!! and are still the subject of an investigation by the SFO.Who in their right mind would still think this is a good investment, even if they win the case against S&G they are going to have to spend the majority of their 68 Million defending the claim. This share is only going one way.
S&G Claim. Tom Winnifrith has obtained full details of S&G's claim against Watchstone re Quindell sale.It would appear that it is stronger than expected.Full details are on his Share Prophets website so any interested parties can judge for themselves.
