Payment of a Fourth Interim Dividend Any thoughts on the sub-division of shares? I think it’s a clever move, current shareholders should benefit. Dave
Payment of a Fourth Interim Dividend Witan Investment Trust plc hereby announces that a fourth interim dividend of 7.75p per ordinary share of 25p, in respect of the year ended 31 December 2018, will be paid on Thursday 21 March 2019 to shareholders registered at the close of business on Friday 1 March 2019 (the ex-dividend date is Thursday 28 February). Taken together with the three interim dividends of 5.25p each paid in June, September and December 2018, this represents a total dividend payment of 23.5p in respect of 2018 (2017: 21.0p). This represents an increase of 11.9%, almost 10% ahead of the 2.1% rise in the consumer price index in the year to December 2018. The dividend is fully covered by the Company’s 2018 revenue earnings per share (subject to finalisation of the Annual Results for 2018). DL
NEW ARTICLE: Hidden gem investment trusts for your ISA I’ve been a shareholder for almost 2 decades. You really can’t go wrong with Witan. Which reminds me, I haven’t read this mornings report. DL
NEW ARTICLE: Hidden gem investment trusts for your ISA Witan has just released its interim results, which appear to be quite reasonable, and they seem to be quite optimistic about the future, although the results carry many caveats. The following quote is quite telling. The Company has increased its dividend every year since 1974 (a 43 year record of increases), recognising the importance for its investors of a reliable and growing income. I like the long-term chart. wtan.png2880x1832 242 KB

something seriously wrong here Sold - don't like the seemingly sponsored good news. I'm not sure the drop was down to the 'big sell'. Something fishy going on, not sure what. I'm selling the lot about 10% of my money and putting it in either - fundsmith, scott morg, finsbury, slater or patient capital. hmmmmm.........
