Re: Debt levels "Average net debt to Headline EBITDA, for 12 months to 30 September, remains towards topend of target range 1.5x - 2.0x."It's within range and since the new acquisitions are expected to generate returns well above the weighted cost of capital it should be on a reducing path going forward. Also the company has been buying back shares at a rapid rate and that can be stopped at any point allowing more free cash to be applied to debt reduction if needed, as can acquistions.Games

Re: Debt levels Growth through M&A is only possible with debt, another such company to grow like this this include Capita and Staffline. I have never understood why the share price also grows with the increased Debt, but some one more knowledgeable (wish still Bill was here) maybe able to explain how this actually happens. I presume cost cutting efficiencies including working together.

Re: Trading update Johan,"I am optimistic that 2018 could bring back bigger ad spending"World Cup Years are usually good for advertising.

Re: Trading update It is harder and harder to understand what value is anymore and I will be honest I was expecting a quick loss this morning and given the headlines the share price is surprisingly green. There was one SELL reported after hours in tens of millions!!!Targeting "EPS growth of 10% to 15% p.a" is still pretty aggressive and market believes growth is possible because if growth was not possible there is room for falls in SP according to charts and as I believe the dividend yield could be higher typically that of non-growth stocks. So I am pretty relieved today and optimistic that 2018 could bring back bigger ad spending as all these companies have to compete.... perhaps all these companies are saving up their cash for Christmas!Good luck all.J.Big cap portfolio: WPP, AA

Re: Trading update It's always interesting to see what part of trading updates markets focus on. When markets opened and this was the biggest faller on the FTSE100 there was obviously a focus on the flat Full year figures; but the bit I liked was this: "headline diluted EPS growth of 10% to 15% p.a."If a company with a PE under 12, yielding over 4% can offer that long term growth, it is a screaming buy. Of course predicting they can achieve something and actually achieving it are different things, but generally WPP seem to be conservative on their outlook - preferring to beat their own projections.

Bought In First time ever -- not sure I like the little chap running the outfit, but this looks like a reasonable value and possibly not for too long.Games -- despite my earlier comments on other boards about it's possible Pearson moment!!

Re: Topped up Also topped up early today at 1278p .Good value and decent div % .

Greyinvestor 31 Oct 2017

Topped up Made a substantial top up to my position yesterday, and may add more. I'm relaxed about the results; I don't like the additions to the debt pile but apart from that this business is in good shape. Broadly flat revenue and good profits are good enough for me at this valuation. To me this is now firmly in the 'value stock' category. It remains to be seen how institutions react today.

Re: Accenture to bid for WPP? Bought here today @ 1322p.Want more 100 . Stocks. Smaller especially AIM .. Just need to much attention .

Re: Accenture to bid for WPP? The buying pressure from this news has dropped. Still a potential opportunity to get in cheap on another growth stock. Note The Automobile Association flashed another opertnity at 151p and quietly launched their first self service portal "Your account" where this will drive down call center costs. Did not get any credit but is significant.
