Why the huge drop in sP? Not sure why but can anyone tell me why William Hill has had a heuge drop in SP today? Mr P
FOBT Absolutely agree. People making their money from the misery of others.
FOBT So we see that the welcome change in the law on FOBT is to result in 700 William Hill betting shops being closed with thousands of job losses. I don’t really have much sympathy with those that seek to make a profit by exploiting vulnerable people in the way the the use of FOBT did, including those who are shareholders in this disgusting business. Frog in a tree
If WMH keeps making progress in the US and online, at this price it is surely going to be a target for a takeover or consolidation event in which case it's fair value at least should immediately be unlocked i.e. closer to £2 a share. Therefore I see a potential 30%+ upside and am buying at this level as a "special situation". In the meantime, you get paid 7% yield to wait.
Bought back in I’ve started a new position at 177. Will develop it from here.
Well, i'm back in at 177/178, smallish position for the moment.
That is very strange, I've just registered here and yet I see that my thread from ii is published here, that's a bit of a surprise.
Bought back in I’ve closed all of my WMH for a good profit. I have very mixed feelings about it, but on balance think I could get a better entry in the near future. A close below 177 would suggest a pull back that would bring new entries. Gold continues to rise, but I messed up my stops and have been thrown out of that at a good profit. I’m watching VOD very closely with a view to trading it. I also left a speculative limit sell on the US500 last night at 2690 which has triggered. Stops above the weekly tl. If it moves in my favour, I will add at each sell signal and run my stops with the trade.
Bought back in Oil (in fact I meant brent in the last post) is still trying and judging from the price movements in oil company SP’s, it would seem that there is some expectation in the wider market that oil could push up soon. Ophir is no more, but some of the leveraged oil plays could very well produce good returns to those brave enough to try them in the near future.
Bought back in WTI looking for a new test to the upside. I would not be at all surprised to see a surge up in the near future.
Bought back in WMH breaking to the upside as I write. Exceeding 177/178 would seem to presage a good rise ahead…
Bought back in Also for what it’s worth. WTI appears to be close to making a decision. A break of it’s tl resistance currently sitting around 6200 would likely lead to a substantial move to the upside.
Bought back in Gold has hit 1300. Be interesting to see where it closes. I’ve moved my stops up to protect my positions and will look to add should it continue to rise.
Bought back in I’ve entered VOD at 141. I probably won’t hold this beyond close. I will certainly close most of this position before close.
Bought back in VOD has now touched my target at 142.5 ish. Be interesting to see where next after this mornings ‘upbeat’, but sub-optimal RNS. I personally have not yet entered, but would consider it from here.
