Re: Brexit NO CHANCE Tommy, I think you under-estimate the Brexit sentiment in England. I reckon the Brexit support is not less than 40% of all UK voters. The biggest influencing factor for most will be the economic consequences and with so many big guns being wheeled out for the Remain camp I can't see them losing. However a lot of people will be voting for the the kind of Britain they want and don't like the way the country has developed in the last 20 years. You don't need to live in the "shires" to hold that view. There are plenty of urban poor who feel excluded from the Blair/Cameron vision. The size of the UKIP vote in recent elections is very revealing of how many people now feel.
Brexit NO CHANCE Mr Ed You and I know there's no chance of a Brexit These are some of the supporters Boris J M Gove, Nigel F, K Hopkins I Botham and Yon clown on Dragon's Den who still thinks he's 21.Put them on a poster for the In campaign!!! Little Englanders in the Shires with their Daily Mail who might even have a wee hoose in Tuscany or The Highlands but Johnny Foreigner We can't be doing with any more.
Re: SP to-day I speculate there are two worries. Firstly Brexit risk; negatively affects UK car sales and European car trade. Secondly, will management get a decent return on the capital raised? Vertu mngt have done well so far, voters are unlikely to vote for Brexit and Lookers also going great ..... so I'm not too concerned at this stage.
Re: SP to-day I agree - surprised by share price weakness. I dont know why. However the business is doing reasonably well and I don't think it is overvalued so I am staying out in the belief that it will come right.
SP to-day I am at a loss to understand why these shares have continued to drift downwards. Again to-day sliding to the lowest point for months. Others in the sector with similar profiles are holding steady. Results as were expected last week and to my mind s p should have pushed on. Can anyone shine a light and do you think the slide will continue Crystal ball time!!!
Re: NEW ARTICLE: Vertu Motors stuck in rever... Very misleading header for this thread. It's not VTU the company that's stuck in reverse, just the recent sp.Don't forget that just a matter of months ago the sp was around 30p.The company, if anything , is stuck in fast forward with its aggressive acquisition policy and its cost controls and, now, it's economies of scale.Come on Iii get your headlines sorted !TP
NEW ARTICLE: Vertu Motors stuck in reverse gear "With its acquisitions team picking top-quality assets and record profit growth, LSE:VTU:Vertu Motors should be in the fast lane. However, concerns about the EU referendum and sustainability of economic growth have wiped out 26% of the car ..."[link]
