Re: NEW ARTICLE: Chart breakout at Vp Isn't an 18% increase in the divi quite generous ? After all they do have £60m+ of debt.On another note I'm hoping that the business will start to attract the attention of institutions now that profits are well over £20m . The larger they become the more marketable the shares the higher the PE ( in general terms).
Re: NEW ARTICLE: Chart breakout at Vp this article would have enhanced sp if written in future tense about 2 weeks ago.i agree with the sentiment but feel sp forecast a bit modest.asi long term holder i am well pleased although a bit disappointed as i was hoping for a special dividendi should have allowed that the directors are younger than i (most people are!) so they work to a different time scale. nevertheless they are doing a grand job
NEW ARTICLE: Chart breakout at Vp "LSE:VP.:Vp likes keeping the analysts busy. Celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, the equipment rental company has beaten forecasts regularly in recent times, and earnings upgrades have followed. And it's done it again. Full-year results ..."[link]
Re: Results Yes the tone of the outlook suggests good further growth aided by their most important markets recovering . One for the long term .
Re: Results Yep. Cracking set of results building nicely on the info given in the IMS a few months ago and it sounds like growth is expected to continu
Results Thanks Stillere- just had a browse. Record metrics across the board - extremely solid company and as the Chairman says they only promise what they can deliver! Nice dividend increase to boot
Re: Results thursday - not long to hold your breath

Re: Ahead of expectations Boring couldn't be much more positive -beating expectations .have a look at Equity Development research on VP -you can sign up for free .Eps 3/15 52p & 3/16 55.7p . Heading towards £8 I believe .
Ahead of expectations From todays IMS "... believe that the Group will deliver full year results ahead of current market expectations for the year ended 31 March 2015", which, given the effect of the oil price on parts of the business, is pretty impressive.
Re: Interims BernieWish they were all like this !Think we will see good earnings growth for the foreseeable future because ;-construction picking up -been v weak leading to higher rental prices and therefore higher profits & returns -housebuilding growing-roadbuilding -massive increases planned -£15bn-optimistic tone of management not really seen since recession -4th upgrade of year -v.telling.
Re: Interims They were v good interims and I think we're still a tad undervalued hereHappy to hold and wish my entry point had been 135p !
Telegraph- Questor "Stick with shares of Vp, Questor advised in the Sunday Telegraph. The rental company is spread across construction, oil and gas and equipment hire, helping first-half profit rise by 27%. It is benefiting from work upgrading the UK's railways, roads and utilities and it should do well from even a small recovery in public construction. Trading on 14 times annual earnings, the shares reflect much of the good news, prompting a hold rating from the tipster."SP on publication = 617p.
Equity development note Talks about 12m target price of £7.25 ! To be fair was over £6.80 12 months ago on results lower than these
