Re: Very Happy Indeed with VM Yes, I'm very pleased with the numbers. Hopefully continue to be strong into 2017.
NEW ARTICLE: Virgin Money worth 88% more "LSE:VM.:Virgin Money did better than expected during its first half and there's been no evidence of any change in the behaviour of its customers after the shock EU referendum result. That's a massive relief, and investors who'd dumped the shares ..."[link]
Very Happy Indeed with VM Another winner out of the oneway stable. The shareprice move up should imo have some good industry read across for the other Challenger Banks like OneSavings Bank and others.whom I though had overdone Brexit falls.Own due diligence.
Re: 26th July 16 Not too long to wait for the company announcement.Own due diligence.
Re: Next MPC Meeting Imminent No Cut.Things obviously not as bad then as what was thought.Own due dligence
Re: A Bit of Equality Please OSB already up about 4%??Phillip Hammond MP and Cabinet Minister was stating last night that Brexit could actually be 4 to 6 years away in totality. If so then there a good few shares that have been presented post the EU referendum vote as good little buying opportunitiesOwn due diligence
Next MPC Meeting Imminent Meeting starts tomorrow 13/7/16 with any decision announced on Thursday 14/7/16On the agenda should be a 0.25% reduction in interest rates to stimulate the economy post Brexit.[link] due dligence
Cheap shares to buy now [link] broker has also scoured the unloved banks, retailers and business spend sectors and reckons Dixons Carphone (DC.), Virgin Money (VM.) and Hays (HAS) look best value.Virgin MoneyBanks have been battered at the hands of the harsh sell-off, but smaller challenger banks are nursing the worst bruises - Aldermore (ALD) and Virgin Money now have 2017 price to book ratios of just 0.7-0.8.With a healthy capital position and dominating exposure to mainstream residential mortgages, Virgin Money should be protected from any economic slowdown and remains Exane's preferred tip. Self-help should help steer the group through difficult times. As uncertainty isn't going to evaporate any time soon, the stock will likely remain volatile for some time. However, if Brexit fears are overdone, there is significant upside to be unlocked as the valuation now discounts any growth premium and it trades on 5 times 2018 earnings compared to the sector's 7 times.
A Bit of Equality Please OSB up about 6.5% this morning VM up just over 2%Housebuilders have been rebounding back nicely on the rise also.Teresa May in post Wednesday and hopefully the markets will settle and further value hunters will emerge to find the chart gaps.Value in both but more being presented in VM presently.Own due diligence
Re: 26th July 16 As statedOwn due diligence
26th July 16 Has to be the next date to firmly focus on.Next half yearly update I think is on the 26th JulyLets be honest the numbers should reflect 5 months pre-Brexit and most say mortgage products are 25 and 30 contracts and should.t in the slightest be affected by Brexit and any EU referendum results. It certainly shouldn't be equating to a 370p to present 230p's fall.Hopefully its should reassure and see us easily back above £3.00Own due diligence.
Re: Might Be a Better Week Approaching 10% and 5% rises respectfully today on both Virgin Money and OneSavings Bank for about 15% a piece gains for only 2 days of holding so far and probably a mores sustained rebound to come. I really should stick to spotting oversold shares. Lets just hope that my other eye spy - Westminster Group delivers a blockbuster.Genel is still holding solid over 120p but what a quiet bulletin board.Own due diligence.
Might Be a Better Week Your Virgin Money and OSB amidst other banking and financial stocks might have a better week this week.Having fallen drastically post the EU Referendum Brexit vote over concerns for the economy I've seen several articles over the weekend highlighting that the Governor of the Bank of England may be step into the management of the economy with a cut in interest rates and he also has the QE route if he so wishes. If that is the case then it is looking oversold from where it was on the charts pre-Brexit.Own due diligence
Re: Float In these markets made even more volatile by hedge funds. and margin trading who knows ?The market liked the value at float , i thought that a good target to buy in.
