To Portia123 Very much obliged for that information but I don't have a large holding of VGM shares so will be accepting the offer for my shares when it eventually is made. I have other investments in precious metals so will certainly not be exiting the sector. One day when Armageddon comes for fiat money, precious metals and the companies that mine them will come into their own in a big big way.Spread your risk and good luck!

Re: Operational Update(URL) I received another response last night from Mr He.The shares can be held in a privatised VGM ( need some clarity on that? )However, the matched bargin facility set up with WHI is designed for Zhongrun to buy shares from minority shareholders and is a one way process.P

I sent an email yesterday to Mr Ian He who to be fair responded almost immediately.However he pretty much confirmed what we already know that Zhongrun are in the process of opening a broker account with WH Ireland who are likely to begin the purchase of existing shares.I've responded this morning asking a few more questions as I'm a tad confused as where this leaves me etc. can I stay invested or do I have to sell? How does the process work etc?I believe there's gold in those hills and if I can I'll stay a holder, nothing to lose really I guess now.GL

scd It is nearly 12 months since scd gave their irrecovable statement that they would not part with their holding. It would be intresting to know their current stance as they own 8.5% of the company obviously they have a lot to lose, i wonder if an e-mail to their p.r. dept could get a response as to their current views, if their view hasnt changed that might persuade me to hold on if we do get the chance to sell

3.72p offer Zhongrun will finally be making that offer to existing sharesholders of 3.72p per share. Is anyone thinking of not taking up this offer and their reasons why? If I don't take this up and sit tight then if the company starts paying a dividend they would I get paid - presumably yes. If the company gets taken over then I'd receive a payment for that yes? I'm trying to work out whether sitting tight might result in something better down the line, or whether I should be seizing this opportunity to get out right now. Any opinions on the matter are welcomed. thanks

Thanks Portia - I appreciate that offer re info from HL because unfortunately the online broker holding my VGM shares (X-O) don't send out corporate information by email, only a letter by snail mail. Seems odd for an ONLINE broker to do that and yet they manage to send me plenty of other blurb by email about IPOs etc. I spend a lot of time abroad and because of their policy I missed out on an open offer I would have taken part in and was not best pleased. I've been running down my holdings with them since then and dealing more with another online broker imiWeb. Have found them to be very efficient, plus they have a very good online 'chat' facility to answer queries instantly without the need to phone and are the cheapest around at 5 quid a deal.

Sorry Portia - am not privy to any more info than yourself and just quoted from the latest news item dated 10/02/2015 on the official VGM website - a letter sent by Zhongrun Resources to the VGM BOD.[link] keep checking but no further news so far - just have to keep our fingers(and legs!)crossed.

Offer finally this month? The news dated 10th Feb on the VGM website looks promising to me. Extract -===='Following the termination of negotiations, Zhongrun International, VGM and its financial advisorrecommenced work in connection with the Outstanding Shares Proposals, including the openingof the special account to fund the purchases of the Outstanding Shares. This work may takesome limited additional time which, together with the approaching Chinese New Year holidays (18- 24 February 2015), means we currently expect any intended purchase process would not startuntil March 2015 in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the Circular.'
