Re: AGM Answers Hello valuemanbuyer,Thanks for your summation. It appears that UTW has the issue of timely payments in hand. New contracts will stipulate a payment of 70 or 80% up front. I just wonder what happens after the contract finishes and moneys settled. Is there any point of a further contract with UTW? Is UTW's service adding any further value?Just my thoughts.Casa.
AGM Answers 1. Revenue accounting is the required standard -no change there.2. Income collection -improving as per the announcement -other suppliers in the pipeline -40% now changed .3.Shareholders -dont know4. Dividend policy -payout 30% of earnings .My SummationBusiness is clearly growing strongly . Much investment and organisational change this year .The cash-flow will improve but y/e 2017 the main improvements will be seen as old contracts will have ended .Want to be the go-to player for enterprise customers -wouldnt bet against them .Topped up today.
AGM - good news Re-negotiation of payment terms has now been announced which is the good news that I was looking for in particular. The management are changing the terms of contract to achieve 70 or 80% of their payments on the signing of the contract and balance at near the end of the contract period which is a great improvement. This applies to existing customers. Any new contracts, this term applies instantly. This should improve the accounts when all existing customers are eventually signed up. I notice the sp has cheered up.Casa.
Re: Agm It would be nice to hear a statement regarding dividend policy...
Re: Agm Hi Valuemanbuyer Is it possible to ask what % of UTW shareholders are employees?, and what % of shares out there have been given as part of a salary package? (ball park numbers would be fine; 50%, 1% or 0.1%?)Sorry if this is a stupid question or the information is already available somewhere else, I'm quite new to this!
Re: Agm Hello valuemanbuyer,I have a couple of questions but hopefully they will deal with these issues in the report.1. After the experience of a substantial share price fall, will the Board consider a less aggresive form of acccountancy? Reporting income well before achieving payment may well be contributory to the share price fall. 2. With regards to income collection, has the time period of collection fallen? Many thanks, Casa.
Re: Enigma I have a friend that works at UTW, he says there is a share scheme for employees which is just coming to the end of the 3 year cycle, allowing a lot of people the option to sell. The SP dip could be linked to employees cashing in shares to get some money for Christmas (UTW is full of young people that might be tempted by hard cash after waiting 3 years for the chance to sell). Not sure what % of UTW shareholders are employees though, but could explain the dip
Possible £20m Bid [link]
Agm Any sensible questions for the Agm next week ?
Quarterly results If we don't hear anything before Christmas, I would hazard a guess that the next publication will be the first quarter results due in January. If they are decent maybe we will see the sp tick up a bit, fingers crossed.Casa.
Re: Enigma Hello Zulu 2. Long time no hear - on the sites I visit anyway, ansd also in direct contact. Hope all is well. Re your comment, very true!
Re: Enigma Where he differs from most private investors is that he may have a large holding in utw but its only a tiny % of his overall portfolio. If utw went bust it would only have a small effect to his portfolio.
Re: Enigma Clearly Mr Woodward agrees with you . Otherwise he wouldnt own such a larhge share of the company.....but should we always agree with Mr Woodward. He bought a large share of Benchmark and that hasnt worked out very well for him either.
Enigma I feel this share has taken me for a ride. The fundamentals look good except for the sp. Something is clearly not right but I'll be blowed if I know what it is. I am holding on for now but more in hope than expectation.Casa.
Re: Quindell syndrome I think some positive statement from UTW would help here. They can see the price dropping, stops hitting but nothing positive has come from them.
