Re: there is a reason most of life's pleasures go up and down
Re: there is a reason Hopefully my post are reasonable. Most shares I post about are mostly ones I own so I am ramping to some extent.I don't rave when they go up a bit and don't panic when they drop a bit.For me todays large purchase is a very strong BUY signalHowever they have had a very good run so maybe some profit taking is going to happen at some point soon.Greece is maybe a worry if it fails to pay its debts and leaves the Euro this may trigger a drop of the market as a whole.
there is a reason Utilitywise plc (AIM:UTW), a leading independent utility cost management consultancy, has been notified that on 5 June 2015, Jeremy Middleton, Non-Executive Director of Utilitywise, acquired 300,000 ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares" at a price of 262.52 pence per Ordinary Share (the "Purchase".
up and down Up 6 or 7% today. No reason to get excited and no reason I can see for todays rise, the same as Friday no reason for a similar drop 6%
Re: Energy patent secured! There is a hint in the strategy. They are doubling the number of sales advisors so logic would dictate that sales will follow. It's the clearest sign - sales have closely followed increases in advisors in the past. I've traded these twice but will hold now for a couple of years at least .
Re: Energy patent secured! My 31p forecast EPS for 2017 was just a big guess.I don't know how long 20% per year growth will last so a 600% gain is not something I'm considering. At the moment the 2016 PER 10.2 & PEG 0.23. That to me is good value.ROCE is 61%, Margins are 27% which are great. Some say these cant last they may be right but they have since 2011. Gearing is great but cash flow per share is less than eps so NOT good.I will wait and see what unfolds and keep my eyes and mind open to other opportunities
Re: Energy patent secured! Excellent strategy - but if the business can grow at 20%+ per annum then surely you're better holding because 10 years down the line you will have a 600% gain and kick yourself for missing most of the upside ?
Re: Energy patent secured! Yes they go up they go down that's what shares do.If they go up a lot over a short time period then they can make some sudden drops. Monday they may go up after a 6% drop or a few stop losses may triggered and they may drop. Its about picking great stocks at reasonable prices not reasonable stocks at great prices. If the share gets to £4 does it really matter much if you bought them at £2.30 or £2.70 you will still make a great profit. I'm not saying they will reach £4 its just a figure to get my point across. The below are based on the current EPS forecasts. To me the valuations look good2015 EPS Forecast 17.9p EPS Growth 42.1% PER 14.7 PEG 0.35 2016 EPS Forecast 25.8p EPS Growth 44.1% PER 10.2 PEG 0.232015 year end is in July and 2017 forecasts will be out. I've GUESSED at 31p giving a PER at 8.52017 EPS Forecast 31p EPS Growth 20.2% PER 8.5 PEG 0.42I'm going to hold until the PER reaches around 20 or the PEG goes over 1 and then I will trim my holding. If the story changes or directors sell a lot them I'm out in a flash. If Directors Buy a lot more then I will too.
Re: Energy patent secured! Did say they move quickly either way-glad I didn't buy another 4k of shares! Anyone know what might be happening? jd
Re: Energy patent secured! oops I meant congratulations to Zulu for purchase timing. (willow has done well with idea) jd
Energy patent secured! Congratulations to utw and for us long term holders who have kept the faith. Well done Woodford and particularly willow for such good timing! I still think there's more to come though so am definitely keeping the 4k but will move the stop loss! jd
Re: Mr Woodford at it again I would have thought a £2.75 million purchase would have had more of an effect on the share price. At any rate I am happy with my 4000 and am seriously thinking of doubling up.jd
Mr Woodford at it again Mr Woodford bought about £2.75M on shares on the 28thI bought a few more today at £2.65
Re: A Total Ramp Thanks man,It is very hard for those with a "modest" portfolio to determine where best to spend money on investing things like the show you went to.
