Re: discount rate for NAV In comparison solar farms tend to be around 6% as there is less risk. I.e, no moving parts.
Re: discount rate for NAV From the last final result statement,The unlevered discount rate used in the DCF valuation is between 8 and 9 per cent.
Re: discount rate for NAV As at half yearly results published 28th July, unaudited NAV as of 30th June 20016 was £639m (104.5p per share)Factsheet available on Co website greencoat-ukwind.com
discount rate for NAV Does anyone know what this is? I am assuming about 6%?
Unusually volatile SP up 8.0% yesterday and down 5.2% this morning. I suppose down to exit from EU. There have not been a lot trades today but some big ones. The low liquidity will add to volatility. The high yield makes UKW attractive but fact that earnings in devalued pounds makes it less attractive. IMO a hold in the hopes that pound strengths over the next year.
Successful fund raise of £100 milion [link]
Subscription shares I have received the modest amount of subscription shares I applied for, increasing total held by 20%. UKW now amounts to 3% of my total share portfolio. Held in my dealing account for income. As they pay 4 dividends a year gives a nice little top up to my pension.Pleasing to see bid price now 1.75p above subscription price of 105p so potential CG of 1.67%. Almost wish I had subscribed for more but did not want to be overweight in UKW.
Re: 300 mil Share Issuance Prog Ah, right, many thanks for clearing that up. Guess the missing out on the next div pretty much equals things up re. relative NAV.I've had these since the start. Not sure whether to subscribe for more. Anyone got on any thoughts one this?
Re: 300 mil Share Issuance Prog As detailed in the prospectus the NAV at end of March was 103.5p per shareIt's worth noting that this can be quite volatile, partly I guess, because the government policy on wind energy and what it pays can change. However contracts for existing producers are ongoing and should not vary. Buying on the dips can be worthwhile although that will invole commission and stamp duty
Re: 300 mil Share Issuance Prog For 'quality' please read 'qualify'. Apologies for the typo. Kantos
Re: 300 mil Share Issuance Prog strap,No, these are not C shares. The shares being issued are plain vanilla ordinary shares which rank equally with the existing shares with one exception - the new shares do not quality for the upcoming dividend (ex div 5th May, paying 1.585p on 27th May).Kantos
Re: 300 mil Share Issuance Prog Not sure how relevant 105p price is to current NAV. If previous issues like this are anything to go by, (and I haven't read the prospectus so I could well be totally wrong), the new subscription buys C Shares. After a given length of time, the NAVs of the Ordinary shares and C shares are reviewed, and the C shares converted to Ordinary shares at a ratio of the relative NAVs, so that no one class of shareholder is worse off than the other. So the final amount of Ordinary shares you end up with may well be different to the total C Shares you subscribed to.P2P and P2P2 is a typical example. I subscribed to 713 C Shares (P2P2), and on conversion, (about 3-4 months after subscription if memory serves), I was allocated 705 ordinary shares (P2P). Total NAV ended up the same. Please DYO though as I could be wrong on the UKW issue.
Re: 300 mil Share Issuance Prog Thanks coldingham. I got a message from my broker company saying they would email me shortly with details. At 105p then a discount of about 2% on current purchase SP and no stamp duty or commission so reasonable value. Not much prospect of significant CG but a fairly low risk good income stock IMO.
Re: 300 mil Share Issuance Prog As I understand it the new shares will be issued at 105p payable in full on application. Minimum amount £1000 then in multiples of £100
300 mil Share Issuance Prog Has anyone got views on this? I have subscribed to a previous share issuance by UKW. I might be interested in increasing my holding by 10% to 50%. I have scanned prospectus but need to read it more carefully. Did not spot at what price shares will be but perhaps that has not been decided yet. Oct 2014 offer was at 107p.
