Re: Offer Got my shares for my other broker's account ..... come on II!II have been slow on occasions paying out for dividends etc. I imagine an old chap with a visor hat in a smoky room adding holdings to our accounts individually..... none of that new computer malarkey!.
Re: Offer Blimey 4-6 WEEKS?? Will call HL now to see where my allocation has got to.
Re: Offer Spoke with II this morning. No update except that it could take 4-6 weeks for the action to complete and to keep watch on my account!!!Not Ideal but I didn't expect the funds to be out of the system for so long. It could be my lack of experience with said system but had my eye on a couple of other shares in case I got most of my dosh back this week.Watch n wait!, Watch n wait!
Re: Offer All excellent points. No sign yet of allocation in HL account, but I read on UKW website the offer was "materially oversubscribed". Don't know what that means, perhaps resulting in scalebacks?
Re: Offer Until one finds out how much the offer was oversubscribed I suggest we don't know how well we've done. I'd imagine if things go well, in six month's time we may hopefully be back to 125 or thereabouts. Also, how successful is the trust going to be in finding new investments going forward? And what is the political risk of our beloved politicians sticking their oar in?
Re: Offer The offer has gone for now therefore freeing the share price, well until the next placing. Would be nice to know if I have any money left to add elsewhere or if I should have gone on the open market as well.It might be held back a bit if people try and sell their new shares for a quick kill
Re: Offer Hi Coldingham, only in that it's a slight dilution. If the offer is taken up at 3p below current market price, (117p v 120p), then it follows that the NAV per share goes down ever so slightly. As I understand it, the subscription is being used to pay down debt rather than acquire new business. If it was the latter, the offer would have been for C Shares and kept separate until new business had been acquired by the new money, before being combined at a later date equalising the NAV of both share classes. In addition, the new shares are going to receive the full Q3 dividend just announced, (not that this would necessarily affect the sp).I'm not complaining, just expected the sp to drop slightly as the new shares are listed. Clearly interest in UKW is very high. On reflection, didn't the sp actually drop from around 125p when the scheme was announced? That would have been the reaction I was expecting so is probably already factored into the current price. Anyway, All good.OTOH I could be taking absolute drivel!!
Re: Offer strapukWhy is that slightly odd?
Re: Offer Many thanks Fly, I knew I'd read somewhere that it should be 27th Oct, so will keep an eye out. Think it slightly odd, (but in a good way), that the sp is up to 120.3p (bid) despite the offer at 117p.
Re: Offer from the prospectus ......Initial Admission and crediting of CREST accounts in respect of the Initial Issue 8.00 a.m. on 24 October 2017Despatch of share certificates to certificated applicants under the Initial Offer for Subscription if applicable 31 October 2017. Further Tranches pursuant to the Share Issuance Programme Admission and crediting of CREST accounts in respect of subsequent Tranches 8.00 a.m. on the Business Day on which the New Shares are issued.Announcement of the results of the Initial Issue 25 October 2017Initial Admission and crediting of CREST accounts in respect of the Initial Issue 8.00 a.m. 27 October 2017.So anytime now, I suppose it might take brokers a bit of time to update the systems, allow for scale backs, update the cash holdings etc and some will be quicker than others. I would expect HL to be one of the faster ones and II somewhat slower.
Re: Offer When will we know how many shares we've been allocated under the recent offer? Reading the blurb I thought it was 25th Oct but not a peep out of HL as yet.
Re: Offer The cheeky side of me wants to transfer you just one share in each of the round number holdings ....... I will wait a while before sending you a GPC ............!!!!I do like round numbers myself but Im not CDO about it.Looks like any shares will be a bit later after all could have had them all today for a penny more.Whats the odds that they will be on offer below 117 at some point in the future?
Re: Offer Flyinthesky wrote: "PJ, me thinks your going to end up with one share too much and you are going to be sat there wondering if you buy 99 more or sell just one."Hmm - more likely scaled back, but I wont stress it too much. I've got about 40 different investments and only 3 of them actually are in any way, nice numbers! Unilever - 300 shares, Vanguard WW income - 1000 shares, John Laing Infrastructure - 8500 shares. All the others are pretty random, since I typically buy by value, i.e. £10,000 worth, rather than a specific number of shares. One that does irk me is my holding of GCP Infrastructure - 8001 shares. Everytime I review my portfolio it stands out. At some point I can see myself buying 999 of them........Cheers,
Re: Offer coldingham, I too have been in since IPO. Feel I would be short changed if I ignored offer. If I am stuck with them for a year or two not a big worry but hope to be able to sell new shares, within a few weeks of receiving them, for a small profit.UKW profits more predictable than RDSB so risk reward similar IMO.
Re: Offer PJ, me thinks your going to end up with one share too much and you are going to be sat there wondering if you buy 99 more or sell just one.FWIW, I have taken the option and wonder how much it will get scaled. Adding extra just in case and will consider selling if I end up with too many. I wouldn't sell and rebuy back as you just might end up with less shares overall but granted it would be at a lower average than you sold
