I think we should make a bid for the company, say twenty million pounds and in return we get three hundred billion pounds worth of oil. Sounds great, oh by the way, you have to take the oil out of the ground, might take you thirty years, but I will be long gone by then.
There is almost a billion shares traded and not all buys of course. How much is that in real money? Not a lot really. If it was this good, surely people would come in will tens of millions?
It is going to take years to get any oil out of the ground, people will lose faith in the meanwhile.
Has there being a CPR here, or just a good guess by the company?
I think you can make hay while the sun shines, as I feel once the news of this begins to die down, so too will the share price. It really is a lottery at the moment, when can you get in and also get out quickly at a profit.
heysimon, Invest as much as you're prepared to lose.
So what are the risks for investing here? Presumably the main one is that a few months down the line a new statement comes out saying initial estimates were wrong or that the oil is even harder to extract than initially thought. But even then surely the potential is to extract significantly more oil that the company currently is so I'd imagine share price is fairly under valued even if the actual amount extracted is lower than the current estimates?
