I see first hand on a daily bases what it costs companies to support offshore oil operations; even if you just look at the costs double or triple the workforce (2 weeks on 2 weeks off or 2weeks on and 3 weeks off) floatels, helicopopter filghts etc. None of these costs will be required in the Surrey countryside, so to say that it will cost too much to get it out of the ground is nonesense!
Well there you go - Oil companies obviously feel that producing oil offshore of greenland in a harsh and hostile environment hundreds of miles from land is more economically viable and easier to commision than sucking larger quantaties of the stuff out of a few fields in Surrey!!
Is it only the doom and gloom merchants that are attending the show??
Alphaomega: are these figures that you have gave of £1.48 per share roughly speaking, are these what we are awaiting from the next rns?
bdog51- I've done my research and feel confident about this. I guess we will need patience with this investment.
I think long term you'll be ok here - lot of volatility at present, only my view though. I've only got 5% of my total portfolio investment here as I don't like risk !!
bdog51- So far, I've bought 30k shares. Is it worth buying more? don't want to take big risk.
baaley - depends on how much you have and how much you're prepared to "risk" in here
