Re: Award Not fixed yet looking at todays RNS.They also look management heavy and perhaps that is where savings can be had.
Award CTO gets a tech award this past week or 2.How long before some running the place gets a business award fir actually managing to deliver a shareholder return? Isn't that more important in business. They admit they can't close sales and/or forecast, that's #1 priority. When will that be fixed?

FD & Edison FD didn't last and looking back over the past 12 months, old news, but why did Edison terminate coverage in Sept '14? Was it that UBI declined their services and so Edison were not to be paid and no longer needed or did Edison decide to do it? Anyone have a clue?I read it as Edison saying they terminated but really the company didn't need them or want to pay for their services but with the FD not lasting long and the poor performance vs target/estimate it makes me question if there was some other less than ideal thing and so Edison decided to call it a day.
Re: Trading update [link] Trader, you were totally correct.May be something due out of China?Donn Technology used to be local partner.Lots of hints, 42% growth in automotive etc.Aout time there was some news on business development.
90p placing Placing at 90p. Bit dozy didn't notice the RNS until the documents thumped through the letter box today.90p is therefore now the target repurchase price -- damned if I'll pay more than the institutions and oligarchs who get these things.
Re: Trading update The critical sentence in the trading update is "The Board is also in discussions with its brokers Numis Securities regarding the timing and amount of a possible equity fundraising to strengthen the balance sheet." It looks as if a further placing is pretty much a certainty, and the recent purchases by members of the board were for the purpose of demonstrating their confidence before entering the close period. It looks as if they have ramped up sales and marketing spend a bit faster than their capability to deliver, and we will not be seeing positive cash-flow until first half 2016 at best. We will have to see what they say when the placing is announced.
Re: Trading update There's a guy on iii called long-term-believer, and I guess that's where many UBI holders are. It seems like a great company, British tech champion etc etc. I sold about half yesterday, not too far from my last buy price and expect to refuel in a few weeks (I am aware these manoeuvres often end in tears). I do think that these blue chip contracts will eventually take us into the sunlit uplands, but don't think this should be entirely at the PI's expense. The directors were buying at 90p-ish, which still looks like a good call, and is an endorsement of the long term prospects. GLA
Re: Trading update Volume of sales today was not as high as might have been expected. Interesting if there is no spike in sales over the next few sessions.
Re: Trading update Ouch - a rather embarrassing trading update after all the effort on the directors' buys. Some hurting retail investors out there, I suspect. Not quite sure how appointing Peter Harveson FT is going to make THAT big a difference... he's been a non-exec since 2005 so if the pearls of wisdom haven't yet filtered through to the ground troops then I don't know what will make them! Perhaps this is something to keep the city happy but essentially is no change - they must be fairly confident that things are moving in the right direction.
Re: Up she rises... Oh well, timing is off but it's still a buy from me but with a longer payback period.
Trading update The word 'delay' is always disastrous. But at least they are doing something about their sales team with the appointment of Peter Harverson, UBI bears say it never turns its revenue into profit -- I mean why should they? The massive management money keeps rolling in and they can knock out another placing at a suitable discount, given they are blatantly not going bust.BUT, on the positive side, GM is a massive win.I think it has to be Sell -- maybe not the entire holding because I would take some if there's a rights issue at a decent price, but either that happens or there is a placing at a discount and we can top up after if we still believe in this lot, which on balance I think I do.All in my humble opinion, and my recommendations are often wrong!
Re: Up she rises... Interesting isn't it, the way it keeps on going up. I suppose something might actually be going on. I will consider a belated Buy...
Re: Up she rises... 18 months from now I don't think paying todays price will be a big regret, but I have been wrong in the past.RTLS, UWB RTLS and IoT and Indusry 4.0 and SmartFactory 4.0 all coming together. The bottom line results have been disappointing but there is every chance that is about to change and just a little press exposure and this will surge higher.
Re: Up she rises... Well, it's a ridiculously thin market - a spread of about 6p. I have been trying to pick up some more for some time, and ended up having to buy into the rise. I think the revenues justify a higher price than this.
