Re: How long What I can't understand is why there isn't a rush to adoption when there is a big need to increase margins in a deflationary environment in manufacturing.Indeed, time may be running out. Orders can only de deferred for so long before people see they are just not going to happen and the talk of them is wishful thinking. Hope this isn't the outcome.
Re: How long Start-ups like Ubisense get contracts and orders but they are not usually profitable. My experience is that most of these start-ups run out of cash before they can increase their prices or grow the volume of orders to reduce costs per order.Buyers of these products should have worked out whether they are worth having by now, and therefore whether Ubisense is ever going to be able to sell them profitably.I am holding at the moment, but feel time is running out.
How long How long before they wheel out VW and China as excuses for lack of landing orders that will make a difference?Driving manufacturing efficiency should get top priority in this environment so what can there be as an excuse?
Re: awards Not easy to tie the below or a Stevie Award into chance of more revenue.A little more PR perhaps but otherwise no use.Better to stop chasing awards and chase customers instead?[link]
awards DAnnounced 2 awards today. One silver, one bronze.Neither look big. More like PR for US.Need to see some business wins landed, KBC increased, good.
Q The real question is - 'What to believe?'Looking over the last 18 months it is hard to believe when they say delayed contracts will be signed. How can anyone have confidence enough to invest here? What to believe?'UNDER REVIEW', says it all.I hold in hope of contracts landing and this finally delivering sustainable profitable growth.
some lacking patience What chance it visits below the placing price as some holders doubt the managements ability to achieve what they say? There is a real risk if that as management need to mature. I think it may have been one of the Henderson.people said that? Certainly they can't rely on a re-run of SmallWorld and cap-ex is likely to be scrutinised at the large accounts as the world slows. All they really mention is mangement expectations they expect to meet. Where are those stated and compared to.what the market may expect.Numis pronouncement will be interesting. Can they really put a buy on this or Hold at best.Sell would be embarrassing.
Rating It's under review - in other words analysis isn't giving a clear picture. Not a big surprise when all previous predictions are shown to be no use at all.It really is time for results to start to show for THIS COMPANY and to stop the rubbish about SmallWorld in the past. They may just have been lucky so far. Now they need to show growth in bottom line. Stop useles PR and PR contract wins.
BS Meter When I first read tbe below my BS meter pegged at 100%.Ubisense should learn from the Ncipher releases of a few years back under the Van Someren leadership - plain and simple. It is amazing that they have ro call in one of the BoD to sort out strategy, sales and cost reduction. What is the CEO of this place doing? If you read back he is all headcount up, headcount up. Now it's targetting 190 and about 20% below the peak - in other words he was on another planet with the wrong KPI when constantly spouting how they were looking to increase headcount and how many SmallWorld finally employed - as if that mattered. The world has changed, it is going to get tougher. Now it shoukd be maximising revenue and net per employee with pride in achieving much more with fewer people. Have they had their heads locked in the fridge since floating.Less BS, more good numbers. Consider the CEOs position if this doesn't turn by next set of results as it will be obvious there are more problems than Korea and the Philipines. When they start using cash at hand as a comfort blanket and spouting about that we can guess they have lost it imho.'together with a strategic focus on accelerating partner channel development to expand business scale and reach, give confidence on the full year outturn'
KPIs I might have missed it but have they ever printed a.list of KPIs for the business - Key Performance Indicators?
Article - same old Self promotion is no alternative for share price appreciation.Anyone know what they have been spending the money on as no sign of any game changing signings.Same old when it's someone elses money being spent.Tired of hearing headcount # when all that matters is a sustainable profitable growth outcome. Why care that Smallworld employed 500 people? It would be something to crow about if it was 50 or even 150. The same here. It's as if a KPI is headcount rather than revenue per head and profit per head.I hope the new money is advising these people else we will end up with 500 people and still no proper profitability. The fact it was so quick and easy to identify cost savings suggests they have not been running a tight ship.[link]
Repeat Revenue Can anyone confirm what % of revenue is recurring?
Re: Trust Henderson Opp spreadsheet lists 344K+ shares so they are onboard too for just short of 1%.About 64% of float in larger holders across 11 entities including Henderson.Back on 18th March Proactive investors had headline along the lines - "Ubisense revenue increase to continue "at pace" says chief exec."16th Sept 2014 - iii had "Ubisense tipped to rocket".Just goes to show - careful what you believe.Meanwhile some tech award, more delays and FD jumps ship after a short period. The need to get a grip & get some guidance from investors that have had success elsewhere.
Re: Trust The update is a bit vague about where the overhead reductions are falling but it looks as if they have ramped up the size of the sales team to more than the business will currently support. Suggests a mix of over-enthusiasm and inexperience, but at least they are tackling it. They need to be cash-flow positive in 2016 to justify the placing price, and I would like to hope they were told so in no uncertain terms by those who put up the money.
Trust The cost cuts are stated as mitigating the impact of expected reduced revenue but why did it take these contract delays to encourage them to look at these costs in the first place?Sounds like they have been working open loop in sales.
