7th April Report today. Strange it's not out early. Would have expected it posted first thing. Will at least get an indication of forward look but probably a rut if the past is an indicator.Let's hope there are no rewards to management for their failure so far.
Tesla Tesla news might be good for UBI.Question is if the Gig factory would look to use RTLS also?Would be big news if it does.
"Solid" Contracts Use of the word "solid" is interesting. Perhaps lessons have been learnt.Good to see and might hep explain the ONZO tie-up too.Putting this as a STRONG BUY - not because the results are now in but because I think:1) Lessons have been learnt.2) Now being run for shareholders more than a grandiose headcount machine.3) Target markets are future orientated and will grow in relevance.4) Technical capabilities look impressive.5) Kestrell know a thing or 2 and look like offering a floor at 35p.6) Cost reductions have been impressive.May have to wait a while though. If VW come back this could fly quickly.Certainly a 3 yr hold, not one for traders.
Re: Layout look familiar? Well, Silver Spring have had some relationship to Secure Meters and there is an ONZO tie-in too. So, ONZO have some relationship to EDMI, Silver, Secure and now UBI. Is this pure coincidence because of ONZO's analytics capability or what?ONZO suggest they will be a UBI s/w user. So, any chance Silver and Secure etc will be too and if so a route into Con Edison via Silver.I think there could be more to this than meets the eye and if ONZO have any scale and they are to use Ubi s/w why didn't Ubi at least mention it on their website? They look useful to have as a user/collaborator.

Re: VW-Siemens VW are cutting $1.1Bn p.a. on previoulsy expected plant and similar expenditure out to 2019.
VW-Siemens There is an VW employee/management Tues 8th March to discuss the future. The diesel issue could be quantified in a few months now, US say by end of March but VW say months.Once quantified they will look to substantial improvements in efficiency across all operations to get back on track. 12 point plan was published. They want to get to 10M cars p.a. and 8% reliable return. The below was Siemens in 2008. VW might look to improve processes big time and start to spend but competition will be stiff. Will UBI get lucky or frustrated by VW not using more RTLS + software or competition winning any business.[link]
onzo They have partnered with onzo. Onzo have been crowing about it but not a peep out of Ubi. Why?
Trading Update Reads much better than I would have expected and it might just be the turn around has begun.£200K net debt can be addressed and cash balance better than expected.Might just be this 12 months that sees them get their act together and focus on returns for the shareholders instead of headcount and grandiose plans to rule the RTLS world.Once they have righted the ship and start spinning off some cash they can expand again or sell up.VW maight get fined less than expected and look once more to improving process efficiencies and with reduced cost base UBI would be well positioned to take advantage.P/S is attractive at this level if only they can get to the point of being net debt free.

Re: Disgruntled They should be aware of enterprise control s/w via their KBC holdinngs so perhaps a positive and in for the long haul.
Re: Disgruntled Well, CDI, it was Kestrel, but not as you'd envisaged!OK, so I guess we've got two scenarios:1. Largest shareholder is hopelessly out of their depth, has panicked and hoovered up all available stock on a desperate 'double or quits' strategy.2. Savvy largest shareholder has mitigated poor share price performance by almost doubling its stake on a 'conviction buy' basis.I hope it's the latter!
Re: Disgruntled OK, now spotted. Apologies - hadn't looked carefully enough. I guess the interesting question is who did the buying!
Re: Disgruntled There were 2 trades > 2M each so 10% of the shares.Surely an RNS will arrive.
Re: Disgruntled I totally agree with your diagnosis of what went wrong, what I was questioning is whether any of the big guys exited yesterday or this week? The volumes would indicate not. I was wondering where the bigger trades might have gone through that indicated institutions selling (I may have missed it). I think it was more likely to be small holders cutting losses.I picked up some of the stock being made available (just small nibbles). Agree they may well have to raise equity, should support the longer term story.
