Re: Quiet PSN went ex divi today and the SP has held up, so hopefully these will do the same. Only a fool would not have these in their portfolio.

Quiet Sub £1.50 pre Xmas and now £1.90 yet no discussion on the board. I am pleased the rises has been steady and sustained so hopefully the £2.40 talked (broker price??) will become a reality. No doubt there will be a drop when we go ex dividend so the higher we go before the better.

Re: Brexit woes my ar*e! We hedged our bets, me for remain, she for leave. Well pleased with result as I bought TW on the first sniff and have a 12% gain. Of course we are in the house market and saw at first hand the sheer quantity of houses being built. You try and buy one after it has been built. We found show homes bought off plan and rented back to the builder.

NEW ARTICLE: Stockwatch: Best yield on the market "Does LSE:TW.:Taylor Wimpey offer perhaps the best yield on the London stockmarket? This blue-chip housebuilder is projected to distribute about 14p per share in respect of 2017 and about 15.5p in 2018, implying a prospective yield edging over ..."[link]

Re: Brexit woes my ar*e! Yes thanks for that graph it exactly proves my point. Fickle investors QQing hard and selling over a non existent brexit threat. FYresults prove the strength of the company regardless of the so called 'disastrous' leave vote. I used the term "nose dive" to refer to their bottom lines, not to panicky investors who flee at the first sign of trouble.

Re: Dividend Yield Eadwig, " PSN had fantastic results (I quote the BBC) yesterday and actually fell. Typically of the sector. PSN have surged ahead today on the back of TW results. [Or maybe P.I.s digesting the results in their morning papers - in which case TW may see a similar surge tomorrow.]"Well, I called that one correctly - so far, anyway, up over 2% on the day. PSN also up by a similar amount tomorrow if you think you can see a pattern ...

Brexit woes my ar*e! I voted Leave and I'm very happy with my decision. Virgin Money and TW were two stocks that were supposed to nose dive. I own both, and they both reported exemplary stuff today. Onwards and upwards.

Re: Dividend I think the ex-dividend date for the final dividend is a week later i.e. 13 April (for record date of 18 April - day after Easter Monday).

JohnyCash 28 Feb 2017

179.90p A reasonable finish to the day, given that following an initial flurry it dropped back to 175.80p.Trade high today 181p.I'm optimistic for further movement North tomorrow, but wdik.Circa 7.7% yield at current SP. Where else can you get this level of income?!JC

Re: Dividend Ex-div 6th April, pay 19th May final Divi and 1st June, 14th July for special.

Dividend When do the shares go ex-div and when is the dividend due to be paid?

Eadwig 28 Feb 2017

Re: Dividend Yield Andinvestor, "Try www.taylorwimpeyspain.com"Well without reading too far, the TW Spanish market would appear to be aimed at ex-pats, purely judging by the front page and the areas where housing is available for sale:Costa Del Sol, Mallorca-Ibiza, Costa Blanca. It makes a lot of sense, Spanish property buying is has been a nightmare for thousands of Brits over the years and so many will feel safer going with a British company they feel they can trust. I guess reading the results comprehensively would tell me the company's strategy in Spain, but as I'm not invested here right now and pressed for time I'll be giving it a miss for now.How Brexit will affect that part of the business remains to be seen. Those of us living permanently or for long periods in EU countries still have zero idea of how the future will pan out for us and our families.Fantastic results from TW and a very strong outlook too - yet hardly any movement in the share price suggesting they were pretty much in line with expectations and already priced in. PSN had fantastic results (I quote the BBC) yesterday and actually fell. Typically of the sector PSN have surged ahead today on the back of TW results. [Or maybe P.I.s digesting the results ion their morning papers - in which case TW may see a similar surge tomorrow.]No surprises really, its been the pattern in this sector for several years. The big moves come when someone misses expectations (usually Bovis). For a sector that is still avoided by many, the markets certainly do expect to see spectacular returns and are ready to punish any company that fails to execute.

The market is underpinned by a competitive mortgage market and low interest rates.”It added that the “risk of material impact from [the vote to leave the EU] in the short term has significantly reduced” as the market for new homes appeared resilient following the vote.Shareholders will receive total dividends in 2017 of 13.8p a share, the company said.
