Re: Dividend policy Many believe footsie due a drop so I Sold out all 11k @£2.06 last week but would buy all back sub £1.95 or hopefully your £1.90 target. Also sold a tranche of Lloyds at just over 69 but would buy back at sub 65 if ever !. I don't usually ' trade' at all so if both continue to rise from here I will stay out.

Re: Dividend policy Yes,JC and strong financial and land bank positions and good dividend with clear dividend announcement for next year as well all give confidence. I only hold 11,000 @ £1.50 average as I have accumulated 147,000 Lloyds at prices from 27p - so in the blue but heavily overweight!
Re: Dividend policy TW also my largest holding after LBG.Sold a tranche of 10k shares though on 9th October @ £1.995Looking for a retrace to circa £1.90 to buy back inSP looking quite resilient at the moment due to HMG support for the housing industry I'm guessing. JC
Re: Dividend policy CE that's a good overall return in this climate. I am very lucky to have a large index linked final salary pension so my share investments are predominantly targeting capital growth but I will hold lloyds and TW for their dividends and hopefully some reasonable capital growth as well over the next few years. My main hopeful growth shares are Jubilee platinum, Angle, griffin mining and Sirius all currently in the blue but hopefully much more to come. Good luck in the future
Re: Dividend policy I am the opposite; I have only one holding that doesn't pay a dividend. I did have two but a 700% profit over 5 years was sufficient. My portfolio yields a little over 5% and has increased in value almost every year for the past 15 years although some years have been very small. It is, in effect, my pension fund and I want to live on the income and pass the majority of the capital to my children on the death of my wife.
Re: Director sales At todays price that was a costly mistake....just goes to show.
Dividend policy The 1 August trading update with projections seem to indicate a 14p minimum dividend in 2018 - a healthy 7% at current share price. I would guess the projection is also cautious so hopefully will exceed expectations given the cash in hand and existing land bank. I seem to remember somewhere a target of £2.40 being mentioned but not sure where. This and Lloyds are my only two investments currently paying dividends so For me I think a hold strategy is best for the time being. Views please
