Re: Fractional shares As mentioned there never was any 'fractional entitlement'. I know where you are coming from - 4 separate accounts so you assume your broker will have received an entitlement based on the total held in the nominee but only distributed 1 for each full 20 in each individual account, thereby trousering the balance...... but not in this case. Lloyds had the details of each individual and their entitlement from the initial IPO applications and that's what they distributed, cash on an individual, person by person basis. You broker will not have made a bit on the side on this one - they do on pretty much everything else though! My worst 'hit' was when they consolidated the old Shell T&T into RDSB and I was left hanging with a 0.95 'partial' of a £20+ share. It clearly stated in the brokers T&Cs that there was no distribution of any 'partial, residual'. Had I had the shares in my own name (certificated/CREST individual) RDS would have paid me cash for the partial (subject to a £3 minimum; any less and RDS would have dumped it to a charity of their choice) but because it was in the nominee, the broker keep it - they would have received their bundle based on the total number in the poled nominee but shared them out based on each individual account holding, any fractions, straight in their back pocket. If you check you'll probably find it's pretty much standard operating procedure for most brokers.Just another reason why the biggest single beneficiary of the current nominee system is the brokers. What's in it for us? Well hopefully it means they can settle the trades more efficiently and pass on those cost savings as lower dealing commissions, otherwise absolutely nothing!Regards,ITDYA

Re: Fractional shares The deal was for 1 new share for every 20 held (on original issue) - so a straight multiple. It was NOT for 1/20th of the share holding. There is/are no fraction(s).

Fractional shares Hi all,I had 576 shares each in 4 family members nominee accounts with one provider. We have been paid equivalent of 28 shares each @ 340p on Monday 20/07.Just wondering as the nominee account holding would have been clubbed as far as Lloyds is concerned, is the nominee account provider keeping our money of 0.8 X 4 shares in this case?Has anyody received payment for fractional shares? Not a huge sum, but a question of fair treatment IMHO.nk

MY BONUS SHARES PAID ON MONDAY Mine finally got paid yesterday. It seems, depending on the broker, some investors get paid earlier than others. ATB

Re: Paid today Thanks LB,I'd forgotten about the maximum entitlement. 1 for 20 but limited to £2,000 worth was what the IPO said, those originals issued at £2.60: 2000 / 2.6 = 769 rounded down; 769 / 20 = 38 rounded down; 38 at £3.40 is £129.20. It all makes sense.Oh well, a tenner less than I had planned but still better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.Regards,ITDYA
