Re: Active buying Bantam - I certainly hope so,infact,my initial investment was on the back of TPMS but TRT did not seem to take it very far and certainly not for motor cars.
Re: Active buying I sold out in May 2012 and made a tidy profit and have continued to monitor TRT.Bantam... I have been buying back in each month since January. A risk, but TRT may have got past the bad times and be able to take a good chunk of the action. ...we'll see. Remember only risk what you can afford.
Re: Active buying May be partly due to this....[link] is why I added more early PM
Re: Active buying How does the saying go -"Fools and their money are soon parted" but I sincerely hope that I am wrong.
Active buying Are we to expect some form of positive announcement? Otherwise why are there so many buyers today?
Bargain? £2.5-3m of cash. How much of this decline is down to the ex non-ex chairman selling down who knows. Seems overdone to me. OK some of its product are a bit iffy, but some have got legs. Bit of a gamble to buy ahead of its result mid March, but bought a few yesterday, as any decent news flow it may spike IMHO
Re: BUYERS Who knows SIPID but i hope they do ! Interims are due out any time which will give us a clearer picture of how things are going. I just wish i had a bit more confidence in this Company.
BUYERS Someone seems to have bought 500,000 TRT shares today.Have they gone mad or do they know something or do they simply enjoy throwing money away?
Re: The Future I'm devastated by the performance of this share. I only bought in a few months ago and I've lost all my gains over years of previous investments. Back to square one, and then minus a bit. What can justify such a massive and persistent drop in value?
Re: The Future The problem with TRT is that we are making too many products that no one wants at this moment in time.Whether that will alter is in the lap of the Gods but it is not a share that I will be putting more money into especially as I am losing 93%.From a very promising start,it is my very worst investment ever.
Re: The Future I do not disagree...If no news, yes, price will not go up...and dilution will be bigger...I am just saying that by March, anything can happen...and dilution may not need be as big as you suggest..but even if it is, it should recover post-event.Anyway, we are just speculating about future events...let's wait and see!
Re: The Future 'BUT...in March 2013, shares were placed at 25% Premium, NOT discount...also, once the cash call is out of the way, the SP should jump...'I remember buying on the open market in May 2013 at 8.82p & 9.95p. In June the company announced they were having a placing and an open offer at 7.5p. Guess what that did to the SP, yep dropped down to about 7p PDQ. I couldn't participate in the offer as I'd spent my spare cash the previous month. I ended up buying on the open market at 7.17p. So I stand by my earlier statement, I think any fundraising will be at a discount to the prevailing SP which will probably continue to drift down in the meantime without news
Re: The Future it's more probable that a cash call will happen by late March the latest, as by Feb-March interims are announced and it's best done simultaneously...so not long before we know...unless major deals are announced in next 8 weeks, cash call could be but a certainty.Price will be around the average SP at time near announcement so maybe near 4p, maybe slightly below...depends on various factors.Say it needs to raise another 3 mln at 3p...= 100 mln shares...on almost 300 mln shares, this is another 25% dilution in a worst case scenario...BUT...in March 2013, shares were placed at 25% Premium, NOT discount...also, once the cash call is out of the way, the SP should jump...Remember that from 6p it fell to 4p (33% drop) just because the Co said it may need to raise cash. Thus, it can go quickly to 4.5p after the cash raise (its market cap PRE this announcement - 18 mln divided by 400 mln shares) or even higher if together with interims etc, new contracts are announced. Conclusion - a cash call is negative but not the end of the world, rather it brings us nearer to success...sure, you could make a small profit if you time everything perfectly and exit your holding and reenter successfully (ignoring spreads) but for me personally it's not worth the hassle.DYOR
Re: The Future maybe another 10-20% extra shares but it need not be at a price lower than 4p...Aren't placings usually at a substantial discount to current SP (currently ~4p)? If the company needs more cash I see it dropping below 3p. Big deals won't be done with a company that is not reasonably solvent
Re: The Future If you want to make money try HAWK who can still make profit at $50 barrel.Much better prospects than this lot.
