Re: TOROTRAK GROUP HAVE APPOINTED NEW EN... You're forgetting the occasional tractor for weeding the garden!
Re: TOROTRAK GROUP HAVE APPOINTED NEW EN... "What happens to the remaining cash, including that raised at auction for machinery and IP?"'Networking', at all those Michelin star restaurants, plus those weeks (or months) spent on the golf course doesn't come cheap, you know! Add in the bills for travel to exotic locations, 'stress-relief' involving some form of massage, the Company cars, yachts and private aircraft hire etc. and it's a fair bet that money is being spent much faster than it is being earned. [link] is the management to staff ratio, greater than 1:1? What do they do all day and when will the share price need a multiple of less than 63 (for me to break even)? Adam Robson has probably managed to underperform: Gerald Ratner, Fred (the Shred) Goodwin, Sir Philip Green and Tony Hayward.[link] may occasionally happen and we certainly need one!
Re: TOROTRAK GROUP HAVE APPOINTED NEW EN... A couple of questions:What happens to the remaining cash, including that raised at auction for machinery and IP?Can cash be returned to shareholders instead of paying directors for doing very little until TRK goes into administration? Is there any prospect of a buyout at more than remaining cash valuation?£6m gives a sum/share of 1p.
Re: TOROTRAK GROUP HAVE APPOINTED NEW EN... Sorry for the typos but I was suffering from frequent interruptions by the builder repairing our roof and didn't proof read what I had input.
Re: TOROTRAK GROUP HAVE APPOINTED NEW ENGLAN... The dreams of shareholders and employees are being auctioned off with all that machinery. How long will TRK survive on the ptoceeds?I think it was Basildon John who suggested, over 10 years ago, that TRK should start a small production run of black cabs to trial IVT instead of waiting for big automotive companies to licence the technology and put it into production. If the trial were successful, they could have had a steady income to keep them going until other companies were ready to adopt it. Instead they had to keep raising money from us and missed the window of opportunity before governments decided to promote vehicles that did not use fossil fuels.I can think of two other technology companies that I invested in that thought they would make money liceencing their patents rather than getting their hands dirty making and selling products themselves - NXT and PDX. Contrast their failure with those of companies such as Dolby and Dyson who took the second route.
Re: TOROTRAK GROUP HAVE APPOINTED NEW EN... SXX should do well over the next 12 months providing funding is agreed which I expect, and even better over 5 yrs. HUR worth a look on a two year view, and already fully funded.
Re: TOROTRAK GROUP HAVE APPOINTED NEW ENGLAN... all going cheap as chips. Cant find a ford explorer amongst the lots though. This share is the last of my original "penny share" investments from more than a decade ago - they've all gone bust at some point. Still cant stop dreaming - overweight in AFC and SXX at the mo

Re: AGM 29th September Any news?
Re: AGM 29th September John Henry,The only good things to come out of the past AGM's were the sandwiches.I doubt they will need to many this year.
Re: AGM 29th September dead on arrival - yes, unlikely to be any cash left after winding up. I P ? Are they any uses left untried ? The off rad application is still alive ?Hopefully some investors still have heads above water if investments were not ALL in Torotrak - what happened with M Walters famous 'stop loss' system (LOL) - about as useful as Horace Batchelor's Infra Draw Plan !More bad news packaged in sweet words coming on Friday no doubt.
