Re: Torotrak FY results No interest from car manufacturers or bus manufacturers in any of TRK's technologies because electrification is the new priority.Off-highway industry has declined because the mining industry is in the doldrums but some improvement by 2020, if TRK lasts that long.No mention of Allison apart from issue of shares. Is that explained by the low cost of diesel fuel or is Allison waiting to see if improvements in electrification technology and economics make it suitable for HGVs or do they expect to pick up the IP at a knock down price? It's difficult to see much future for TRK.
Re: Torotrak FY results marcher,Variable pitched turbine blades already deal with this, and so TRK IVT not really in the running there, unfortunately.

Re: Torotrak FY results TPAlso ignored the growing wind generator market where IVT would have been an ideal solution to deal with fluctuating wind speeds.
Re: Torotrak FY results Patents to be soldAssets to be soldOffice closedBoard shrunkThis statement is a valediction, nothing more.
Re: Torotrak FY results I think the closing costs always come out more than expected plus the loan and redundancies etc will eat up any value received from IP assets, and I think they will run out of cash before then anyway resulting in a fire sale. All very sad, especially when you look at the vast sums of money wasted on the wrong technologies, and at the wrong times. Electrification has been making progress and waiting in the wings for years, so also poor that the management didn't see this coming.I got out a while back, at a huge loss, but couldn't see them turning this around in the timeframe available. Sorry for anyone still left in but it looks very bleak now.
Many years ago I bought shares in Torotrak with the hope in contracts being signed with global companies such as Ford, GM, Toyota etc, will this ever happen ?
