Re: Jan Sensier Interview on BBC Breakfast l... The interview threw up some points relevant to the more widespread adoption of this technology. I'm concerned about the barriers to introduction, which is why I'm not currently an investor. These include (in no particular order):1. Does not (I believe) include blood pressure monitoring;2. Requires a proprietary wireless network to be installed in hospitals;3. Product liability issues - what if someone dies and the sensor is found to be faulty?4. Political - the technology's business case rests on reductions in staff monitoring patients, not reallocation as the interviewee suggests. This will be controversial to say the least;5. Competition - there are a number of large companies very actively involved in developing remote monitoring systems. With TMZ's size, I doubt they have the resources to stay in the race (which is why they are looking at options for the IP I guess).ATB
Jan Sensier Interview on BBC Breakfast last year I came across this YouTube video of an Interview with Jan Sensier of Healthwatch Staffordshire that was part of the BBC Breakfast news coverage last year which highlights the need for more trials.[link]
Re: Hope delayed not dashed I hope the review for Sinsium and it's IP is completed soon, which is adding to the uncertainty.I really don't know what the management where thinking when they went too aggressive with their sales expecting quick results when dealing with hospitals. Whose strategy was this, Richard Steve or Anthony Sethill? It's one thing the clinicians wanting it, but another when you have a manager at the top in the hospital food chain looking at costs of installation, training, disruption and running costs. There is a market for this technology, but Toumaz are too early in on this and there is no reference point for hospital managers to look at, so trials will carry on until they are satisfied.
Re: Hope delayed not dashed That`s not what the share price is saying
Hope delayed not dashed To state that SP is disappointing is an understatement but after reading through results again and doing some research I think that TMZ is on verge of making progress.1. TMZ expects to be able to fund its operations to point of cash generation.2.DAB is making good progress and the market is growing.3 Connected audio will grow as Spotify and Google increase their market.4 Sensium. I understand that the feedback from hospitals is positive but dealing with bureaucracy is time consuming.
Re: 2-2.25 (-15%) Someone seems keen to get out based on prices quoted ... could buy LOTS more which begs the question "FROM WHO'?Hardly surprising given the lack of transparency when things like the VERMED link appear.
2-2.25 (-15%) On modest volumes.. personally I still think there's a placing on the way even with positive digital results, and H2 cash burn likely to be less.
Re: SensiumVitals by Vermed? Maybe I am being naïve, but I would have thought some more professional marketing from a larger company with the necessary resources is a good thing. Have seen very little marketing from Toumaz itself - it seems to be putting all its efforts into trialling with the NHS, which has a reputation as the most conservative purchasing organisation in the world.
Blood pressure? The current SensiumVitals package offers continuous monitoring of Heart rate, Respiratory rate, and Temperature. I am no expert, but if I were a doctor I would be wanting to see Blood pressure on the list - as being the most critical indicator of something going wrong. I thought from an earlier announcement that they were working on adding this - but I haven't seen anything further, and the latest announcement says they have cut back on further SV development, pending the outcome of further trials.Does anyone have better information on this?
Just what is going on? I am astonished at the lack of any details from the company.Late September, you tell the market you're conducting a review of one (substantial) part of the business. Two weeks later, the key product appears on a reasonable sized US company website almost laying claim to the technology (SensiumVitals "by Vermed" and not a word from the BoD ... seriously, come on guys, your credentials are already being questioned by many holders, and this just doesn't come up to scratch in keeping long suffering shareholders informed.
Re: SensiumVitals by Vermed? Have a look at their parent company, Graphic controls, seems a decentsize company, perhaps there is life in sensium yet!
Re: SensiumVitals by Vermed? I would have thought such a distribution deal would have warranted a company rns and am mystified as to why we haven't had one so here is some wild speculation. TMZ want to pull back from the dirty business of selling Sensium products and maybe even sell it on. Vermed have jumped the gun with their webpage. Takeover in prospect once Vermed have seen how Sensium sells in practice! As I say all wild speculation but.......................
Re: SensiumVitals by Vermed? Taking a more detailed look at the company and it locations, it would appear the company operates in the US, UK, Germany and France. The exact same locations that are now key location mentioned in the half year presentation on page 16.[link] I was to put 2+2 together I hope I am getting 4 and not 5, I think Vermod is taking on the responsibility of marketing and selling the technology leaving Toumaz to focus on the technology. This makes sense, but I could be wrong.
Re: SensiumVitals by Vermed? A new US distribution deal ? Unannounced ? Needs clarification from Toumaz.
