Re: 305m @ 1.8p Make that 335m @ 1.8p
305m @ 1.8p Trades just gone through.... what's all that about?!
The One Show BBC1 Tonight Good piece on the medical patch on tonights show. Will be available on i-player I guess.
Re: Trading update The loss for H1 was £5.5Mil, which mean that the cash burn for H2 was only £2.2Mill.With all the development complete for both the connected Audio and for the DAB side of the business, the ramp up in sales will go towards making the business cash generative from the middle of this year, as management stated.I am more than encouraged with the developments so far, would not have minded if it came much earlier but at least we now know that the business is heading towards profitability this year.Based on that assumption I think the current price is relatively cheap.
Re: Trading update Correction... they would have still had £2.7m in the bank if they hadn't drawn down the loan.
Re: Trading update Welcome semi-recovery but no fireworks. Question which has been bugging me slightly is why have they chosen to drawdown full £5m loan already, with all associated interest costs, when they have £7m in the bank, audio is bringing in cash and health division review is underway.
Re: Trading update Pleased to see a pretty positive reaction to the update, very well bid this morning, but tend to agree that until the health division "strategic review" is complete, there's not much to stimulate any spectacular price movement other than a Google bid (wishful thinking!) or a short term cash need, which now looks highly unlikely.Be lucky.
Trading update Pretty much as expected ~ audio doing well, health division doing nothing. TMZ now saddled with £5m debt. Business expecting to be cash positive, and conclude health division strategic review by mid16. Summary = more jam tomorrow. I hope if no progress by the summer TMZ knocks health division on the head as audio a cracking success undervalued by the drag of the health division's failure to commercialise patch.
Re: New appointment ?? Their communication is confusing. In the Interview they mention they have a qualified pipeline of 200 hospitals, yet in the last trading update and RNS and half year report there is no mention of the pipeline.Wireless Patient Monitoring will become a standard feature in hospitals, but I think it will take time for the idea to gain momentum just like DAB has done.

New appointment ?? In the U.S., were gearing up to begin clinical studies at a leading hospital to prove the clinical and economic benefits of the patch. We have a small business development team in the U.S. to support existing customers and follow through on leads with larger hospitals groups ahead of an accelerated deployment. In rest of the world territories, interest in the system continues to build. SensiumVitals has been deployed in hospitals in the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, and Australia. A growing number of these deployments are moving from initial evaluation to full-scale integration with hospital IT systems. Worldwide, the Sensium Healthcare has a qualified pipeline of 200 hospitals.[link] to buy some more ??
Re: St James, Leeds Trial Cost avoidance (costs unknown) in the increasingly litigious world we live in, will never be easy to prove - but ask yourself, if you were ever to be seriously ill in a hospital bed, would you sleep easier knowing your vital signs were being monitored without HAVING to be disturbed to prove otherwise?Better patient outcomes, and fewer needless deaths are insufficient business benefits it would seem, so they have to "prove" shorter stays, less interventions, and whatever else consultants can put a monetary value on.Going to be a long haul in the UK, but I'd have expected more traction in the US by now to be frank.
Re: St James, Leeds Trial From the half year results 2015:"Although the system is well received as an improvement in patient care, it is taking longer than expected for the economic case to be made conclusively, i.e. that the costs of installing the system and its operation are outweighed by the benefits of earlier intervention in the treatment of deteriorating patient health."From the conclusion [link] difference in critical care admission rates"From what I read into it is that the deterioration would have been picked up regardless whether wireless patient monitoring is used or not and it is more of case whether the costs justify knowing a patient is getting worse a few hours earlier.
St James, Leeds Trial I had a look at Professor Jayne's work on various sites. There is no mention of the trial. nor is there mention of the research on the NHS NIHR site. The worrying statement on the 'flyer' was that the difference in patient stay time was not statistically significant. Why didn't they try and measure any improvements in Nursing productivity?
