Re: Interims We are a fickle bunch us Brits. We invest in a business that has great potential, yet we pull out at the slightest sign of trouble. If this was an American business the market cap of a business such as TMZ would have been much higher simply because of its future earnings in high growth areas. 5 years ago prospects for DAB and wireless audio devices would have seem very small, but look where they are now. The same will happen with Sensium. It has only just been about 1 year since they have started to commercialise it. In hindsight they should have had the right level of funding that took a longterm view of how long this technology would have taken for commercial adoption.I would urge the BoD to take a longterm view when it comes to dealing with SensiumVitals as I see potential, but it requires the right level of investment, patience and persistence.
Re: Interims Clearly it has been better for Toumaz to tell it how it is rather than saying nothing and hoping for the best. Honesty is the best policy.
Re: Interims Nice to see that now people have had time to consider the interims the fall in sp is negligible especially after the recent negative turn in the wider market. The initial large drop this a.m. could have been mischief on the part of the mm's - does that ever happen - surely not.
Re: Interims sp recovered earlier fall, now 2.75-3.25 so could have been a lot worse after lacklustre interims.
Re: Interims Spot on Auro. on your August post.
Re: Interims Well market blows a resounding raspberry (2.25-2.5 = -17.39%)... not unexpectedly
Re: Interims I don`t see carrying on with sensium as an option, they couldn`t sell it inAmerica, they can`t sell it in Britain, remote monitoring has a future, butnot in present form.
Re: Interims One half of the business is doing well, except Senisum, but it is no surprise that it is taking longer as most hospitals will need at least 1 year's worth of data to base a decision.Options for Sensium:* Tweak the costs for hubs, patches, etc. to make it more affordable.* Get some of the larger players to take on the product while developing the IP (licensing).* Sell Sensium Healthcare and return the cash to shareholders.* Carry on as normal making tweaks here and there for the business model using money from the Audio business until SensiumVitals gains mass adoption.I would also assume others in the same space are having difficulties as well. Not heard much from Isansys.
Re: Interims Sensium Vitals has a value - whether that is best realised through joint ventures or a sale of the division, who knows. I'd be gutted to see the medical side given up on the cheap, it was my main reason for investing, and Frontier will take a while to justify a £100m market cap (well below my original target).Bit gutted to be honest.
Re: Interims I agree with your analysis. DAB radio etc doing very well and with R&D falling and sales rising this is the cash cow we need. Sensium Vitals is not vital to our business and is a sink for our profit. Reality has dawned and the b o d has admitted as much. Its had its chance and needs to earn cash now or be moved on.
Interims Half the business going well, other half going nowhere (imho)Suggest comment "The Board is now conducting a detailed review of the business model adopted to date, using internal resources and external advisers. This will establish in the near future the optimum way for Toumaz to secure value from the intellectual property behind the SensiumVitals® system" may be a clue that they'd consider an approach for that division.
Thank goodness for DAB radio [link]
Re: Interesting link, or potential link Apologies Drewster.Misread the article. It does sound lvery much ike Minuet.
Re: Interesting link, or potential link Interesting, but I don't think will include TMZ IP. I think it is more likely that Chromecast will just allow users to stream audio (as well as video), allowing your TV to be used as a way to play audio as if it were a speaker. The Wi-Fi spec. on Chromecast matches Minuet, probably why there was a delay in development because Google might have wanted a matching specification. More on Minuet here [link]
Interesting link, or potential link Given we know this:"Minuet is powered by a dual core 1.3GHz processor and state-of-the-art 802.11ac and Bluetooth Smart wireless technology from Marvell. This is a continuation of Frontiers partnership with Marvell, which dates to launch of the successful Venice Wi-Fi module series in 2009."Then this could be relevant, or could be just me dreaming...[link] significant feature of the new Chromecast is improved Wi-Fi connectivity, indicating support for the faster 802.11ac band, compared with the 802.11b/g/n used in the current Chromecast. Wi-Fi 802.11ac offers speeds ranging from 433 Mbps to several Gbps. It works in the 5Ghz band.Along with faster Wi-Fi, the new model incorporates Fast Play, which will allow the device to connect quickly, while playing content seamlessly when you press the Cast button. It will also support content feeds such as social media or images on the home screen. It is also expected to feature Chromecast Audio, similar to what we have seen in the Google Cast for audio that lets you cast music from mobile devices to speakers. As the leaked document hints, Chromecast Audio allows the device to plug into any speaker via auxiliary cables. Apart from that, expect multi-room support, the ability to mirror Chrome or Android audio and high-quality audio."
