Re: Volume Up again LKH"I really can't see any acquirer making an M&A move on Treatt at this stage, given the lofty rating it is now on"Don't forget in $ terms the current price of £5 is only £4 in pre referendum money.
Re: Volume Up again Lips,Yebbut, m8, there's still not a helluva lot of action in this puppy's share register. I think we have to assume that, although the volume is more than it has traditionally been, it still don't amount to a hill of beanz.Treatt has had a fair bit of attention in the press in recent months, quite apart from (albeit doubtless related to) its dramatic share price rise. Consequently I imagine that most of the volume is coming from private investors jumping (late) onto the bandwagon. It doesn't look as if the earlier speculation about a takeover is justified, to judge from the lack of news about institutional stockbuilding.Although I shall continue to hold I really can't see any acquirer making an M&A move on Treatt at this stage, given the lofty rating it is now on, unless there is some particularly juicy synergy that no-one has yet spotted.LKH on the flybridge
Volume Up again This is now becoming a norm - 460,000 volume today

Re: pc Problems Lips,"Have you tried turning it off and back on again? Usually sorts things out."It didn't work that well for the world's favourite airline, did it?LKH on the flybridge
Volume Well so far volume is back to pre results. Fraction of the day trading levels of recent days. Unless there are some big trades in the system to be settled post close.
Re: pc Problems I myself have very recently indulged in a spot of profit taking. I've slightly reduced my holding but not by much. Nothing goes up in a straight line as they say.GG....Treatt, how very aptly named.
Re: pc Problems Have you tried turning it off and back on again? Usually sorts things out.
pc Problems There must be something wrong with my computer: there's this strange red colour by TET which I don't recall seeing for a long time - & it was there yesterday too.
Re: £5 CL,The top? I hold and will til £6, then sell 1/3. l agree with LKH, new shed changes the fundamentals but think the big boys got this passed on (whispered?) to them.Regards,Seadoc
Re: £5 LKH and HardboyIts like a before and after trading statement share. 230,000 today!! Bizarre.I am a long term holder in a number of shares and agree LKH about good business. However the turbo charge on Treatt has blasted it past all my other holdings bar L&G, which I have been investing in since the crash (but hasn't done much this year - best divi by a country mile however). I have enjoyed the turbo boost and hope it can maintain the level. It has happened so fast in such a short span (like no other share I have held, going back to BAA, Pilkington just to reminisce) & looks to be continuing that getting acclimatised without vertigo is tricky. I continued to invest on the upward swing
Re: £5 And as Chicken pointed out, volume is up again. It seemed to be settling down to pre-February trading statement levels (30-35k), the previous week, but the last 4 days have all seen volumes over 100k
Re: £5 Lips,"where is the top? The momentum is still higher?"No idea where the top is, m8, and I don't believe in all that momentum mumbo jumbo. I chust like to buy good companies and hold 'em until or unless the share price exceeds my view of its intrinsic value.I think the new shed is gonnae transform Treatt's ability to move up the value chain ... and get the forklift trucks movin' around more efficiently ... always assuming the cost doesn't overrun. It shouldn't do; this ain't rocket science or brain surgery, just a simple Butler building (or similar) and an area of concrete for the drums and tins to be sat on.LKH at the LK Wash & Valet
Re: £5 The re-rating of these shares seems to be happening on a daily basis and mainly upwards. Not sure I have experienced such a climb - over a long period in any holding. Tend to retrace every once in a while. I suppose hitting targets three years in advance helps and I thought this might get above £5, just simply by the direction of travel and all on little new news - but where is the top? The momentum is still higher?
