Decent rally forming Decent rally with good volume. Considering the positive market backdrop, if SP breaks above 76p this week we could see a run up to 90p with the Q3 results this month. Ever the optimist!

Fosun stake Fosun have increased their stake, more director buying and decent broker comment. If we can get to the results without terrorism or flight disruption we could take-off. But there again, TCG SP perennially disappoints. I'm still a long term bull on China JV.

Re: Forsan love it - glad to see I am not the only one cracking open the second bottle of red and midweek as well.financials not great but nothing like those that found them in such direstraits a few years back

Re: Forsan My apologies for getting your hopes up that the Saudi's were coming to the rescue. I actually meant Fosun International but in my defence I had just moved onto that deadly second bottle of red whilst typing.

Re: Forsan Forsan, the Saudi food group? Really?

Re: going bust again .. reading the financials might help.

Forsan Probably being shorted by the Chinese in a bid to get a cheap deal for Forsan to increase their stake post Brexit. If TCG go close to going under so will all the minnows in the sector. Brits love holidays and nothing will change that, just need to tweak safe countries. IMHO

going bust again looks like sp believes on way to going bust again like 5 years ago

Re: Am I worried? ...No The suggested cabin crew strikes should be avoided through conciliation with ACAS. If TCG deliver the forecast profit and dividend the share price will rise. China JV and improved customer focus will yield long term benefits. I note the vast majority of broker and newspaper forecasts have been wrong on TCG for years. I think they just like to see if they can move the share price, while the uninformed musings of some posters belies a thorough lack of business knowledge and simple intelligence. Holders can buckle up and tolerate the continued turbulence or bail out. Making money this way is not without risk, especially airline and travel stocks.Mr Ed.

Re: Am I worried? ...No I still believe Thomas Cook has a future, they have been affected by Egypt, Tunisa and Turkey but sales in other areas are going well I do worry however about the cabin crew strikes, I do not work for Thomas Cook and still retain my shares for the future

Re: who knows? Agreed. Only a mug would read bulletin boards for share tips. But probably does n't know any better.

Hugh Betcher 25 May 2016

who knows? Odd that almost every recommendation on this site going back quite a bit is "buy" and yet the shares just keep going down. Shows how much people here know I suppose.

Re: Sunday Times rates this sell: So buy? look

Nice to Michu 23 May 2016

Sunday Times rates this sell: So buy? ST predictions are very often very bad. So this rallying a little this morning off the back of their call was no surprise to me.It's usually Danny F who does the calling .. maybe he's on hols- hopefully a permanent one as he's very poor at this game - and so some wonder named Peter Evans has given this the thumbs down.Still he's as entitled to his opinion as anyone else and it is a game of chance. Re: Am I worried? ...No We hear less from Pinlord and Uphill Struggle these days. That's Uphill as in "I'm not worried in the slightest. I could have sold at 160p" and Pinlord "I agree 100%".
