Courtesy of poster on ADVFN From the hemscott website, Arden partners have revised earnings forecasts upwards, and the revisions look pretty exciting to me. For FY17, EPS is 192p (PBT £28.9m) and for FY18, EPS is 231.8p (PBT £34.9m). I dont believe these revisions are fully reflected in the movement of the share price so holding on tight. GLAH.
Edison They have issued an update.Reads positive as you would expect.
Re: Trading Update I thought it was an excellent update and increased my holding a bit on the back of it.I understand the concern about what will happen when interest rates rise, but Advantage has been growing profits for fifteen years or so now and, while I don't expect growth of 20%+ to continue for ever, I suspect we'll see decent growth for a few more years yet.S&U isn't a company I expect to be holding for ever, and there'll be a time to take some profits, but, for the moment, i'm happy enough with what the management are d
Re: Trading Update All looks v rosy but what happens when a slowdown arrives and interest rates increase back to normal levels ?We are in exceptional circumstances currently and need to plan for a taste of normality I fear.Wonder what interest rates 3-5% higher will do for their sales . I know it will clobber new car sales but not sure at this end of the market .Ps been a happy holder for a few years but mindful of tougher times ahead.
Trading Update Sorry to hog this thread but the Trading Update issued yesterday deserves a mention.SUS just keep on delivering.17(th) May 2016S&U plc ("S&U" or "the Group"AGM Statement and Trading UpdateS&U, the motor finance and specialist lender, issues a trading update for the period from its full year results on 22(nd) March 2016 up to the 17(th) May 2016 prior to its AGM being held today.Trading is very good. In fact, despite a generally more restrained recent economic outlook in the UK, Advantage Finance has recently seen an acceleration in its already impressive motor finance transactions growth rate. Customer numbers are now at an all-time high of 35,600, an increase of 3,000 since year-end and net receivables exceed GBP160m (GBP145m at the year-end). Debt quality remains excellent whilst collections, profit margins and average loan sizes are all on budget.FundingOur existing bank and finance facilities can comfortably accommodate our current rate of investment in Advantage of around GBP4m per month. Gearing has risen from 9% at year end to 19% now and our current projections suggest that it will not exceed 55% over the next 4 years as our business matures. Further funding will also be made available for suitable acquisitions and new initiatives as and when they are identified.Commenting on S&U's trading and outlook, Anthony Coombs, S&U Chairman, said:"Advantage's customary high standards and commitment to its burgeoning number of customers continue to reap their proper reward. A conservative and strong treasury position will allow both Advantage, and the S&U Group generally, scope for continued expansion in the exciting and rewarding times ahead."
Re: Brilliant Results True, and, to a certain extent the sp price already reflects that, but the statement *** We therefore see very significant opportunities to maintain and even accelerate the "steady sustainable growth" which has been S&U's hallmark ***sounds promis
Brilliant Results Just goes from strength to strength.Very impressive set of numbers.
Re: Trading update... Solid update. Nice increase in dividend.Over sold, hence nice rise today.Always delivers.
Re: Trading update... Yea, it was short and sweet, but with no surprises.
Re: Trading update... and it is as expected.
Trading update... ... this coming Friday, 12th.
Re: RNS Yea, both current trading and possible acquisitions sounded very positive. We're very much under the radar of most investors but that's not necessarily a bad thing.I'll probably be adding to my holding tomorrow as well.
Re: RNS Agreed. Bought a few more @ 24.30 happy in the knowledge that the managers have a big stake in this business.
RNS Great Trading Update out.
Re: Ex Dividend today Hi Boring Bernie.Dull is just how I like them. Long may they stay that way, given the growth delivered over the years.
