Re: CEO BB Interview Thanks for this, Mars. I just wonder why anyone is selling. I don't want to sell either, but wary of putting any more in, in spite of current level. The market cap is so low, you'd have thought it wasn't worth a shorter's while either now.

Mars_2050 05 Apr 2016

Re: CEO BB Interview Downstream opportunity [link] study shows profit margins can be vastly increased by up to 10 times by producing semi finished graphite products instead of just raw graphite materials. It includes modelling for the production of semi finished graphite products such as high grade flake graphite concentrates, graphite composite material, graphite sheets and foils, spherical graphite and graphene.Graphite foils in particular could fetch up to USD$50 000 per tonne on the open market eclipsing the standard price of around USD$500 a tonne for raw graphite fines.Expanded graphite is likely to fetch around $2500 a tonne whilst composite graphite could command up to $6000 a tonne according to the companyBargain below recent placing at 2.5pAgain small volume suggests most watchers know, now is not the time to sell.As always DYORGLA

Broker comment StratMin Global Resources (LON:STGR, 2.13p) - Speculative BuyStratMin Global Resources, the graphite production and exploration company with assets in Madagascar, announced on 1 April that it has entered into a heads of terms agreement with Base Metals to acquire the outstanding 93.75% of Graphmada Mauritius, which operates the Loharano natural flake graphite mine in Madagascar. Under terms of the proposed agreement, Base Metals will make staged cash, equity and royalty considerations of up to A$15.3m. The term sheet replaces that signed on 2 September 2015 which envisaged an investment by Bass into Graphmada of a sum totalling up to £2m for a 25% stake, Bass has already made payments totalling £0.5m for a 6.25% stake. Our view: At an implied value of £8.6m, StratMin's board believes this to be a reasonable control premium of the original implied premium of £8m under the 2 September 2015 term sheet. After consideration of alternatives for funding of the development of operations management considers the proposed disposal gives shareholders the best available development proposition given the proportion of equity-based consideration based on certain operational milestones. As a result, StratMin will be able to pursue other opportunities while retaining an interest in Graphmada's graphite operations. We look forward to the details regarding the company's other corporate opportunities in the near term. In the meantime, we maintain our Speculative Buy on the stock.

Re: News I'm holding strong after being in touch with Brett. Also added quite a bit below 2.2p. Crazy prices.Bass makes an offer valuing Stratmin at £8.6m which then sends us up 27% and yet we close down with a lower market cap then ever before! £3.5m! No other producing or non-producing listed graphite company is valued this low.Not surprised that other parties are showing an interest in acquisition.Anyway best to wait until we get all the details which will be published by Bass.

Re: Stratmin to become Bass major shareholde... JimTop 2 directors are not taking salary and the mine is (or was, or is near) operational break even, and yes I believe that is true. I might be wrong but I fundamentally believe that.So to suggest the cash is needed so desperately I think is a gross oversimplification. I know Brett and Shishir were dead keen to get their hands on the cash to crack on with expansion but I'd be surprised to hear they were that far over the barrel. And I know what I'm going to say is also an over-simplification but if the deal really is stiffing STGR holders then why would the Concert Party back it, or indeed the BOD, who are on salary conversions quite high in pence per share.Or indeed the director whose company loaned Stratmin 100k less than 2 months ago, he was sure of getting the money back at the time - has everything really changed in under 2 months?Or the broker who took 600k 2.5p warrants less than a month ago, the broker who we assume is inside on that "confidential opportunity""As a result of confidential corporate opportunities currently under investigation, the Company is deemed to be in a close period."

Stratmin to become Bass major shareholder Jim on LSEToday 14:25It's just not bloody simple - understand many don't like the uncertainty or complicated deal and that itself is a very fair comment and valid reason to jump if you're not comfortable....Stratmin is not being taken over by Bass - Stratmin will end up holding a sizeable chunk of Bass, and that ties our ongoing fortunes to the progress of development at the mine, so if you were confident of progress - subject to funding - then all will still be fine, yes??! My working assumption is that there has to be a funding deal for BSM yet to be announced, somewhere in this muddle... Else it really doesn't make any sense at all.Either way there has to be further announcements because there needs to be a circular posted, and that circular must include information to satisfy Schedule Four criteria, includingh) in the case of a disposal, the application of the sale proceeds;(i) in the case of a disposal, if shares or other securities are to form part of the considerationreceived, a statement whether such securities are to be sold or retained; and(j) any other information necessary to enable investors to evaluate the effect of thetransaction upon the AIM companyYou see here that shareholders need to have information relating to how Stratmin will continue as a going concern, and that information MUST be presented (Rule 15) at the same time as the motion approving disposal of its main trading business."Where the effect of the proposed disposal is to divest the AIM company of all, orsubstantially all, of its trading business, activities or assets the AIM company will, uponcompletion of the disposal, be treated as an investing company. The notification andcircular containing the information specified by Schedule Four convening the generalmeeting must also state its investing policy to be followed going forward which must alsobe approved by shareholders. "If the rules are followed, the circular should end the uncertainty. In fact the circular should have come out today, but I guess they got an exemption because some of the pertinent information has to be notified first to ASX"The transaction has had to take into account the needs of two different regulatory environments so has some forced delays, but both the Stramin and Bass teams are very keen to get this completed so we can move forward with a clear growth strategy

News Well, I'm not sure that's what I hoped for either. It feels like it's turning into another 'We can build an empire' miner. The NPV is never realised in cash, always other bits of paper. What do you think, Mars? Are you onto Brett already? The volume today shows someone is selling into this, so is not convinced. Would appreciate your thoughts.

Mars_2050 01 Apr 2016

Larger strategy Thanks to Jim LSEHonestly this has to be part of a larger strategy, that's all I can think of.I did email the company to explain my concern about lack of clarity into how value will be returned to us shareholders.Brett's response is that there is regulatory process to follow, he has his hands tied by the rules of two markets (ASX and LSE) and announcement would follow in due course, he understands my concerns and that:"Keep in mind, neither of us [Brett or Shishir] have taken a cent out of the company yet and we have committed to equity remuneration"Ie - he can't say anything to me but he can saya) he is in the same boat as us - coming up to a year on the job, given the previous CEO's salary, they've each invested more in term of salaries owed than most on this board at a guess.(b) He's listening to, not ducking criticism - he replied to my detailed critique of the deal and is saying, yes let's keep this dialogue openCan't deny it's still a challenging time but this price is again looking more like a buying opportunity for me. I will be keeping some powder dry of course but fingers crossed for next week.(Oh, ASX announcement for BSM was for trading to resume no later than opening on Tue 5th April, which is late Monday for us - which I guess is a deadline for information relating to this deal to be made available to Bass shareholders?)

Re: News imminent Well we certainly got news but disposal of it's assets wasn't what was expected! £2m (or £1.5m outstanding in cash) now replaced by plenty of possible jam tomorrow if Bass make a success of it.Not convinced this deal is in STGR shareholders interest.
