Re: added Welcome to the board frogboy. Yes it is a bit quiet on here I think you and me must be the only two remaining shareholders especially as your order was the only buy that day LOL. Hence the drop in price most people have just lost interest. First there was ebola then heavy rainfall causing flooding in Sierra Leone. Lacklustre diamond sales in the last auction didnt help. Also Stellar is now looking like another AIM listed Co with a board of directors who like to treat shareholders like mushrooms. I think we are due a final report anytime but im sure if they had dug up another star of india we would know about it by now.

added added a few today, all to quiet here. It will either go belly up or recover with the diamond price, whenever that is. Even so, at these prices it has to be worth a punt

Potential to generate significant cash flow An independent study of Stellar Diamonds’ (LON:STEL) Tongo kimberlite project in Sierra Leone support its potential to generate significant cash flow from a modest initial investment. The eagerly-anticipated preliminary economic assessment (PEA) of the deposit, carried out by Paradigm Project Management (PPM), reckons there is the potential to excavate stones totalling 955,930 carats, generating US$387mln over 18 years. The plan is work on surface for years one to four – a process that will a yield of 117,806 carats and bring early cash flow, according to Stellar’s consultants. The capital investment required to get the project up and running is put at US$24.2mln, which is modest in an industry where development costs routinely run into hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars.PPM has ascribed a net present value to Tongo of US$53.2mln and calculates it will internal rate of return of 31%.Its economic model was developed using a grade of 120 carats per hundred tonnes and a diamond value of US$270 per carat. The study also pointed to the “significant potential to increase mine life and revenues with resource open at depth”.The company expects to formally submit its application for a mining licence in the “near future”.Chief executive Karl Smithson told investors: "The Tongo PEA has delivered robust economics which support the development of an open pit and subsequent underground mine.“Early cash flow is expected to be generated from the initial surface mining but the mine also represents a long-term and sustainable operation which has the potential to generate solid cash flows from the sale of its very high quality, high grade diamonds over many years.“Stellar considers that the Tongo mine can be further improved and extended with the development of additional diamond resources from nearby high-grade kimberlites that we have previously identified and tested.”The company is already generating revenues – from the trial mining of Baoulé kimberlite in Guinea.

Re: Game changer? $505,000 gained from the Diamond sale. More than I thought as the average price was $135 per carat, significantly up on the previous parcel. City seems to like the news and I'm happy to hold for further developments. As ever, GLA...

Frankers70 10 May 2015

Game changer? Ok, so we have our second parcel of 4,000 plus carats. The last bundle went for circa $95 per carat which gives us $400,000 income and Diamond prices have gone up from then I believe. If so, then could this be the signal to ramp up into production? Surely the share price is going north from here, no?

Courtesy of startup over on LSE [link] Meanwhile, Limoz was said to be raising $10-million to acquire two diamond projects currently under care and maintenance in Guinea from Stellar Diamonds. I was wondering why Stellar were dragging their feet on the maiden Diamond Tender and even more disappointed that they did not sell all their diamonds, but now I understand why they are in no rush.... 10 million dollars from the 2 projects in Guinea that are essentially gathering dust. They need 16 Million Dollars over 3 year to get Tongo off the ground and they will start surface mining to generate early cashflow as they are currently doing at their Baoulé kimberlite in Guinea. If they sell the 2 projects in Guinea to LIMOZ then they will have the majority of the cash and with revenue of 3 million dollars expected from Baoulé this year and possibly more next year they should be able to fund Tongo with no further equity issues..This could be the deal that transforms the company into a major producer in the near future.Going to be an Interesting few days ahead...OMITC
