Re: Paul Scott (Stockopedia) CEO intervi... Simon admits he is a natural optimist, but his comments indicate he has learnt not to count things as potential business unless they are real opportunities. Assuming they can manage the work load and that emerging market governments pay and pay on time the future really is bright.

Re: Paul Scott (Stockopedia) CEO intervi... It just edges up almost every day and you can see it going a lot further as a lot of institutions will want to buy it once the orders get confirmed.

Re: Paul Scott (Stockopedia) CEO interview Sounds like more orders soon and the company must be one to hold as the future looks excellent indeed.

Re: Finals ...imagine how much better D Day could have been managed if the Navy had SRT's products back then….I presume you mean for the Germans. I think the Navy would have appreciated an approach in the utmost secrecy.

Hardboy 06 Jun 2016

Finals The results themselves are not great - similar to previous years - but the big change is the order book @ £70m - a 20 fold increase on last year. When the award was announced we all thought it would be a game changer. It should be - let's hope so - It will be interesting to hear Simon tomorrow. As an aside - these results are announced on the anniversary of D Day - imagine how much better D Day could have been managed if the Navy had SRT's products back then.

Re: Where? I wonder if today's news may answer the question."SRT supports Maritime Security Conference in Philippines SRT, the world’s leading provider of maritime domain awareness systems that enable the continuous tracking and identification of small and medium size vessels will be exhibiting at the Maritime Security & Coastal Surveillance Conference in the Philippines on the 9th and 10th June 2016. SRT’s stand at the conference will have a real time demonstration of how its unique integrated maritime domain management system can reliably track all vessel types over an entire EEZ. Simon Tucker, CEO of SRT, will be speaking during the conference about the next generation of maritime domain awareness systems and SRT’s extensive experience of working with authorities to develop national scale MDA projects."

Nice Award Software Radio Technology Wins International Company of the Year AwardSRT, the global provider of maritime tracking and monitoring technologies and turn-key system solutions, has won the main International Company of the Year award (up to 50M turnover) at Insider’s South West International Trade Awards 2016. The company stood out on a night that recognised the very best in South West overseas business success. The judges said ‘this £10M turnover business has cracked open opportunities in Asia and we’re wowed by its new contract’. Graham Southern, the editor of South West Business Insider, said that the entries ‘show that South West companies can take on the best in the world… showcasing a wide variety of industry sectors and different ways of operating overseas – the theme, of course, is growth – not just growth in international sales but a growing proportion of company profits from exports’.Simon Tucker, CEO of Software Radio Technology plc “We are delighted to receive this prestigious award amongst so much competition from other international companies. Right from the beginning SRT has recognised the massive opportunities in the large, fast growing economies of Asia, Middle East and Africa. We have created one of the world’s leading hi-tech technology and product development teams who develop all our products from scratch here in the UK. This has enabled us to become a dominant player in the emerging global maritime domain awareness market which is independently forecast to be worth billions of pounds in the future.”

Re: 43p Target ! The current order which is being worked on underpins the current price however my expectaion is that SRT has a strong possibility of another order or two this year to add to the current one and that would be the icing on the cake. Should that occur it would really put the company on the map and rerate the share price. Not a share to sell in my view.

Re: Trace back We seem to have found a trading level after the spike and inevitable pull-back. I have taken the opportunity to add modestly to my holding on the expectation that the next few months will see the price gently drift upwards (in anticipation of the order being fulfilled) rather than down as has previously been the case in the absence of news. As I said before, there are clearly still risks in the execution of such a large order, but provided they can manage them then there should be considerable upside.

Re: 43p Target ! Oh dear, a tip in Investors' Comical is usually a signal to get out! Let's hope this is the exception that proves the rule.

43p Target ! Simon Thompson in IC saya----Interestingly, a chart break-out above last month's high of 35.8p would open the door to a rally to the next resistance level around 43p. Buy.

Re: Trading statement A turnover of £10m and 2% return of sales, is nothing to get excited about. That's one way to look at it.But pre-tax they lost £740k in the first half, and made £0.2m for the full year. So must have made about £1m in the 2H.

Clitheroekid 12 Apr 2016

Re: Trading statement "Hopefully a small dollop of jam to come from Mauritius..."Let's hope it's not just a Mauritius rumour

coldascheese 12 Apr 2016

What a great future . Well with a massive order book and a pipeline three times that SRT has a great future ahead, turnover should double and double again. Excellent news. Bring it on.
