Re: Pipe Bloackage Sasa, are we really surprised anymore,in lots of places I meanAll the best MD
Re: Pipe Bloackage Hi Manuel - according to Ineos, the pipeline is now repaired with flow rates returning to normal but, like you, a bit surprised that no word yet about that from Serica...sasa.
Re: O/T PAF - FAO sasa Hi casa - haven't looked at PAF for a long time now with the political situation out there getting worse all the time, until just recently?Ramaphosa used to be one of Zuma's henchman, didn't he? He's become a multi - millionaire in recent years - all above board? He now needs to encourage foreign investment to return to SA, if he wants to stabilise the economy and the country to 'come in from the cold' - early days yet for me, tbh...I still prefer FRES as offering less 'problematic' exposure to the pm mkt, although I'm a bit surprised that AU hasn't been somewhat stronger of late.Given the enhanced appeal of SQZ with its solid balance sheet and it's undoubted cheapness, post the BP deal, this takes some beating in these mkts, I'd say....sasa.
Re: Pipe Bloackage Time ticks on and no RNS regarding pipe blockage.Any clues?MD
Re: O/T PAF - FAO sasa CORRECTION. PAF's PER is under 7. EPS is 1.14p, sorry for error.Casa.
O/T PAF - FAO sasa Good afternoon sasa,Precious metals and gold miners being one of your interests, I have just had a look at PAF. As you are no doubt aware, Mr Zuma has resigned as premier of South Africa and replaced by Mr Ramaphosa. Mr Ramaphosa is putting the SA econonmy back on track. He is ridding the Public Services of Zuma's cronies, fighting corruption and appointing Ministers with scruples, Mr Gordhan being one. The worsening economic conditions under Zuma led to PAF's sp dropping and I sold out at around 13p. PAF has released excellent mining results on Friday last and the current sp stands at under 8p. The PER is under 2. It's worth further examination I think.Casa.
Re: Gas supply chain reaches limit And its not going to get any better either imo.Are we entering into another oil/gas bull mkt? I think so, and looking at the Brent 10 year chart, today seems a great opportunity to buy into cash positive/debt free energy companies. Serica ticks those boxes imo.
Re: Forties Pipeline Cracked. Topped again @ 72p4.35% fall today not sure why lowest temperatures for years and gas prices for one day delivered doubled as Europe scrambling for it.Tried to set a limit buy again at 70p but i would only except 69p was told i couldn't place between the spread of 69 to 70.8p does not make sense to me.be great if someone could explain .
Price dip I have been keeping a close eye on SQZ, waiting for another significant price dip. I was looking to buy at around 72p so I am delighted to pick up some shares at just over 70. Since the infamous 1000 point dip in the DJIA, the prospects of many pi's have taken a battering. I include myself here. I admit that I have bought some stocks during this volatile period but have been concentrating on those that have remained stable. Of course, SQZ is anything but stable but the advantage here is that there seems to be only good news likely and with no debt and a good income to look forward to, it appeals to my adventurous side.Casa.
Gas supply chain reaches limit Just goes to show how fragile our Gas supplies currently are.LONDON (Bloomberg) -- Traders in Europes two biggest natural gas markets were scrambling for fuel on Wednesday, sending prices soaring as freezing weather exposed supply issues.UK and Dutch gas for same-day delivery more than doubled to attract extra supply needed for heating. With Britain increasingly reliant on the rest of Europe for its fuel as it closes its biggest storage facility and the Dutch curbing production from the regions biggest field to prevent earthquakes, unplanned outages added to the woes.Within-day prices in the UK reached as high as 190 pence a therm ($26.26 a MMBtu), almost four times their average over the past year. Those in the Netherlands reached as much as $34 a MMBtu, with hourly prices even soaring to almost 10 times that as the network manager struggled to keep the grid balanced.Pricing reached extremes, said John Twomey, a power and gas analyst at Bloomberg New Energy Finance in London. The UK is being outcompeted by other markets on the continent that are also undergoing stress.Significant unplanned outages added to the mix. Norway, Europes biggest supplier after Russia, curbed exports after an outage at a processing plant. The only pipeline from the Netherlands to the UK halted after a snow storm caused an unspecified technical problem, leaving just an interconnector with Belgium between Britain and mainland European markets.A more favorable weather forecast did little to damp prices. On Friday, even colder weather had been forecast for this week, which would likely have boosted consumption further. In future, gas supply could get even more complicated as energy trading is a political flashpoint in Brexit negotiations. Its still unclear what rules will govern shipments after the UK leaves the bloc.Liquefied natural gas will help fill gaps in future, especially in the UK, as will shipments from Russia and Norway, he said. Wednesdays situation is being made worse because of the limits on flows from Norway.Theres a bit of panic around, said Murray Douglas, research director for Europe gas at Wood Mackenzie Ltd., which advises companies on energy. When one, two or three things go out at the same time, you run into problems.
top three European-listed oil producers According to an article in las Novs Telegraph Serica are now one of the top big 3 listed Euro Oilies. Anyone like to hazzsrd a guess as to when we go into the mainstream markets? Next Ops update should be exciting....Its quiet here, but the institutional investors must have taken serious note by now.
Re: Pipe Blockage I too thought it would have warranted a seperate RNS, however according to Serica, we need to wait until the next Ops Update for any news, so I guess they cannot give away too much info until they can publish the facts.
Re: Pipe Bloackage Well, hope so, northstar - surprised that they've not RNS'd it yet but, maybe, they will when the waxing problem is fixed again; shouldn't be long, hopefully.... sasa.
Re: Pipe Bloackage Serica confirmed to me that the Forties Pipeline is back up and running. Re the waxing issue we ahould hopefully have positive news on the next Ops RNS
Pipe Bloackage Northstar,It was a small article in the Evening Standard, It did not mention Serica specifically but stated that the blockage had now been cleared and oil was flowing again!Could have been Monday's Evening Standard!
