Re: 29p payout OK thanks for the heads up. I suspect I'm getting a cheque as I don't think I've ever had the need to give my bank details on account of no dividends for some time. With luck they mailed on Monday so should arrive this week hopefully!

Re: 29p payout Well I'm still waiting for my dividend cheque with no bank credit either. Has anybody actually received this yet? Presumably it's being timed to reach us during the holidays so won't clear until after Christmas?

Re: 29p payout correct, no income or capital gains for any holdings in an ISA. But no offset of losses either for CGT purposes

Re: 29p payout Thanks very much numberbiter, extremely helpful.

Re: 29p payout The 29p, in my view, must be a dividend as there has not been any change in capital structure (you own as many shares now as you did before the payment). The clue is the price movement - if it were a capital reduction exercise following the payment you would own less shares and although the company would be worth less (because it had given a bundle of cash away) the share price would not fall.So the 29p payment is a dividend; in this tax year 2017/18 dividends are paid gross of the first £5,000 of dividends are tax free,

Re: 29p payout is this treated as an income or capital distribution for the purposes of taxation anyone know?

jimboyuk 24 Nov 2017

29p payout Opps....just realised it reflects 29p pay out

jimboyuk 24 Nov 2017

Why the price drop? Crashed 20%. What's going on?
