Thursday & Friday SP rise Strong buying in the last 2 days. Expect RNS shortly...perhaps tomorrow.
Re: Today's news Does anyone have a view on the exceptionally long sales process with SPH?
Up for sale......? ....this process seems to be taking an age!
peel hunt seems like a lot of regulation for so few shares?
FAO: Peter Peter - INSE, good luck. ws
Good news for us, bad news for some... This is definitely good news for SPH and for us. But is this good news for the MMs? Probably not. Over the last few months several MMs have been desperately trying to buy some shares. For example, the trader who does this painstakingly slow work for FIL, must be very patient. On some days he couldnt get more than 30K shares. The MM,s who want to increase their holding in SPH just want to do this at the cheapest price. So I wouldnt be surprised on a day like this one, they are selling some shares to keep the price down, just to kill the sudden euphoria. Ambiorix.
Re: Today's news Nearly six months since the up-for-sale RNS so the hangover may leave the new announcement somewhat filuted
Today's news Only up 2p on this news seems a bit tame for a game changing RNS.
Re: news maybe Looks like liftoff Houston
news maybe Sizeable buying at 39.50p news maybe just round the corner.
Re: No Patience No surprise, Henderson is mopping up everything that comes on the market. Since the results announcement they bought more than 1.5 million shares. They must be glad some PI's lack patience. They know one day their bottom-up approach will be rewarded. At this price (34 p) SPH is still a bargain while most other biotech and pharmaceuticals are not cheap anymore. Ambiorix.
No Patience There seems to be a little selling pressure this am. Unjustified in my view. The sellers have no patience. With continued sales growth and more products expected to come on stream in more markets in the coming two years, this will surely be moving into +ve operating results within 2 years. The financing cost needs resolving but that can be achieved by a rights issue or (less attractively) a debt for equity swap. Then we'd be motoring.Being a natural long term investor I would hate to see a takeover which gives a certain immediate gain at the expense of the loss of the future benefits of past patience.E

Re: Rns-Trading Update Shakyhands - Fair comment, thanks. WS
Re: Rns-Trading Update There's a lot of truth in what you say, winningstreak.Pharmacutical companies generally have high capital expenditure. The big question is the extent to which this expenditure provides ongoing benefits. It is pretty unavoidable if the company s to have a long---term future,so it could be argued that it is in fact a running cost.. The trick of course is to get sales up to the point where the profits from those sales exceed capex plus other costs - some overheads will not rise at the same rate as sales. It looks at first glance as if things are going to plan at Sinclair,as the company claims. Disclosure - long.
