Parsons Took the SP down to the depths and now jumps ship. What a waste of space with a big mouth that could not be backed up . I hope he never gets another job in an oil company or anywhere else for that matter. Give him nothing for a payoff.

Update theprior: Let’s see the deal done and what they do with the cash. Indeed. Very odd wording in today’s RNS about planning “to become a carried, non-operating companyâ€. Does that mean they’re planning to do nothing at all with the cash? Surely the whole point was to drill some more as, according to the previous RNS “fundamentally, the Company continues to believe the Tendrara basin requires further exploration drilling to unlock fully the basin potential and to deliver enhanced value to shareholdersâ€. Will the new buyers call all the shots on further exploration and SOU will just chip in cash as requested? I’m finding it hard to reconcile the two statements. What I’m NOT finding hard to believe is today’s market valuation of under 5p/share. SOU is a complete car crash.

Update Hmm, looks like I called it wrong yesterday as the sp continues its downward spiral. But then I didn’t know that jj was abandoning the ship. How long will it take for the other rats to do the same? Regret my small purchase yesterday. But, hey hum, that’s the stock market ï¸:frowning:ï¸

Update It’s 51% of Sound’s 47%, leaving them with 23%. Then there’s an option for the purchaser to take another 9% leaving Sound with just 14%. They get a carry on the costs of bringing gas to production but if the only gas is from the existing TE-5 horst then Sound’s share doesn’t amount to very much – I reckon about a penny or two per share per year. They will need further discoveries – something that was notably lacking on their last three drills. Perhaps there is an opportunity to develop Sidi Moktar. I dunno. I’ve lost a packet on this turkey so shares will be in the bottom drawer until whatever transpires in the next couple of years.

Update Ok so first news today of a firm offer but they’re not selling the whole shabang, just 51% of Tendrara. Which means SOU is to remain in business but with a reduced share of the licence area. Shares have taken a hammering since the failed drills and now languish at aroun 6/7 p. Not good for existing shs but maybe this is looking like a recovery play? TP

Placings So a placing at 37.5p last July and a placing at 10p in June 2019. I wonder what the people who picked up the placings think,and what Parsons is saying to them,with the SP dropping daily. Looks like the market doesn’t like Sound or its boss at the moment.

Bad news tomorrow? SOU… XXXXX Placing yesterday Tuesday @ 10p it dropped on news to 9.88p. Limit of 9.5p did not lift yesterday , But did today on early 8.13 am @ 9.49p . Got stronger after .
