Price fall It's a thin market as we know but a fall of this magnitude needs some explanation.
Decent trade today Following the director purchase at 405p recently I note a £50000 trade at 439p today. It will be some time before we see £9/share again but the momentum of travel is very positive.
Director buys stock ahead of AGM Interesting to see that a member of the board has made an initial investment in stock at 405p ahead of the AGM on Sept 13th.

More support for Solid State Two new positive analyst reports on Solid State, one from W H Ireland and the other a paid for one from Edison. I generally try to avoid extreme language when I am commenting on companies so I don't entirely agree with analyst Eric Burns at WH Ireland who describes the extent of Sold State's recent share price fall as "slightly absurd" but I think I can understand why he says this as there does not seem to be much wrong with the business. It is also becoming apparent that the delay in the Ministry of Justice order was not Solid State's fault and it looks likely to me that the order will be delayed rather than lost. However, it will probably be quite a while before we can be sure when Solid State is going to resume significant growth but in the meantime the diversity of its business is helping steady the ship. I am certainly happy to continue to hold the shares.
Re: Edison Research Nicely pointed out pharmaspec. SP a year ago was around 680p so if business expectation is to 'stay still' this year, current SP of 465 looks cheap?
Edison Research According to paid for research just published by Edison, Solid State's profit for 2016 is expected to be about the same as 2015 (£3.2M) so the recently announced difficulty over the problem "high profile" contract will result in no profit growth. However, the company is projected to remain solidly profitable with hardly any increase in its moderate level of debt for 2016, so I would suggest that there is no need to panic, despite the plunging share price.

Re: results next week should be However 2015 is over so we need to look at 2016 & 2017
results next week Results next week A nice rise this week. For once I timed my selling and buying back in right (a rare event)2015 Valuation is very high2015 EPS Forecast 31.70 EPS Growth 19.2% PER 28.7 PEG 1.50 However 2015 is over so we need to look at 2015 & 2016.2016 valuation looks good to me with a PER of 16.4 & a PEG of 0.222016 EPS Forecast 55.60 EPS Growth 75.4% PER 16.4 PEG 0.22 2017 the PER is ok but the PEG is a little high at 1.122017 EPS Forecast 62.82 EPS Growth 13.0% PER 14.5 PEG 1.12 2017 is a long way off so I expect EPS upgrades which will bring down both the PER and PEG.This is all dependant on the results being good.If they are what is forecast there may not be much immediate upside and maybe some profit taking. If the results beat forecasts and there is a positive outlook statement then there could be a good rise.If it does come under profit taking I'd buy a few mo
