lunch time buyers coming soon and hopefully we finish between 175p to 180p
very over sold, rsi, mac d, bbw, etc etc show the sp should go upwards for this week and reach at least £2 before it hits resistance of £2.40
I'm back. At these levels, Soco has to be a buy. The basic underpinning of the company remains sound, there's plenty of cash (unlike some other oilies) and management remain in control of their destiny. Is this the time for some M&A activity? Maybe someone will see the underlying value of the company at these levels, but we won't see £4-5 again in a hurry. Or maybe Soco will seek to strengthen its portfolio....have a feeling now is the time to make some money in oil and gas, if we can wait a year or two.
Re: RNS : Well Test Results Please excuse me for posting under this subject but I am having problems with my iii pages as for whatever reason when I click on "post new message" it just reverts to the log in page - wierd!!!Never mind, this little gem from today's Torygraph market review: "There was also talk that Soco International, ½p cheaper at 140p, could also be bought. Shares in the oil group plunged last week after it cut its reserve estimate for its TGT oilfield of the coast of Vietnam.Given Soco has effectively been for sale for the past few years, the recent sell-off could spur bid interest in the company, RBC Capital Markets analyst Al Stanton said. "Pity that someone couldn't come along and do a deal before last weeks results........
Re: RNS : Well Test Results >>SELL..target 180<<BANG ON!!---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- -----LOLNot really Lamrini girl , Not really !!!It sailed through your 180p sell target !! you may as well have chosen any number between 250p and 135 and the result would have been the same. You could have written the same message " bang on " LOLI have a large holding here but based on the new information we received, I would estimate support will be around 120/125p areaI have done some value calcs to back up those figures!!
sold because sp could go as low as 120p where support is, might buy back around 130's
please someone tell me which oil producer and explorer do not lie about their oil and gas reserve and do not have debt so i can buy shares in them because i need to get my money back after selling in here
total shambles, i bet all oil companies lies about their oil and gas reserves thats why sp went down, otherwise it got too much debt such as ENQ, AFR etc
one4 all - avoid enquest One for allSoco are cash rich where as enquest are riddled with debt. You should value companies once you strip out the cash/ debt position. If enquest got rid of their debt, they would be valued significantly higher than soco ...If you don't understand the above let me know and I'll illustrate using a calculation
Re: RNS : Well Test Results AFR at last count and rising production 3500bopd + Mcap 55 million. Obviously other factors to take into consideration.
Re: RNS : Well Test Results Aren't Enq in the the north sea? What's their cost of production?
Re: RNS : Well Test Results Arent Enq in the he north sea? What's their cost of production?
Re: RNS : Well Test Results soco production 15k bopd market cap £600 mill ENQ 30k bopd market cap £300 mill....mmmm BUY ENQ
Re: RNS : Well Test Results >>SELL..target 180<<BANG ON!!
Re: RNS : Well Test Results I've started to accumulate - SOCO has no gearing and so can withstand a low oil environment for as long as it lasts.I guess it could go under £2.00, but at some point in the future will benefit from a rebound in the oil price.Jim
