H1 H1 Results look fine. Hefty increase in net cash and no bank debt, that;s rare!ws
Interesting infographic report on SHOE Shoe Zone is looking undervalued on this report [link] , combined with the dividend quite attractive. Surely they won't maintain that DPS.What are peoples thoughts on this? I have read some interesting comments on here re poor Customer service etc!
Re: Why down? Oddjock - Thanks for that info, I should have checked on that. Never mind, I'll be receivingthat juicy dividend on my existing holding, and next year on my enlarged holding. Not manystocks yield such a good dividend.ws
Re: Why down? It went ex-div today for payout of 12.5p
Re: Why down? I used today's fall as an opportunity to top up, and just did so at below 200p.Low PE and excellent dividend, what more does one want.ws
Why down? Why the steep fall today (10 percent down) ?
Customer service I won't bore anyone with the details unless they're interested, but if Shoe Zone's standard of customer service is in any way reflected in its financial performance, then this is a share I would steer well clear of.
Re: Lots Of Shares Dumped at 190p Those shares would go to institutional investors, which is not a bad thing. It brings about a better spread of holders.WS
Lots Of Shares Dumped at 190p ..... at around 3pm today .Will be interesting to see who is ditching them , and hope it is not the owners .
Re: Divi outlook Companies generally guide the house broker to the result that they hope to achieve, in this case Numis, I think. The EPS is now guided at 18.1p and the DPS at 9.45p. It's up to us to decide whether we believe it.I wish that I could agree with your view that I can't find a share that I don't like, sadly it is the opposite, and I've never looked harder. I have, however made a few recent purchases (posted on this BB).
Re: Divi outlook Projected by whom? The company has indicated that they will reduce div but not by how much. Can't find a share you don't like - perhaps you are not looking hard enough.
Divi outlook The dividend outlook is reasonable; projected to be a yield of around 5.3%.My biggest reservation is that Aim stocks which issue a profits warning in the first year post flotation tend to be underperformers. Hence the small stake. But this one ticks lots of boxes in the sense of a low valuation, big director holdings and so on. If you go into a branch, you'll see that it is low priced stuff and the branches are run very lean. A bit of a Sports Direct of the shoe market. I think that it will be a plodder. There isn't a single share out there that I really like at the moment. I can't remember that ever being the case before in my life; not a good sign.
Re: First purchase Surprised to see Greyinvestor here , as I thought you were a high div yield investor .Miton hold SHOE in their UK MULTI CAP INCOME fund where it is their top holding . Today's RNS states they have reduced their stake , not increased it . Not a good sign , bcz surely they would add after the recent sell off IF they thought it now represented good value .I have traded SHOE in the past , but currently on the sidelines observing the sell off and awaiting more info regarding future prospects . I am not convinced that the SP will necessarily bounce back from here , and I thought the management statement was a bit light .GLA
Re: First purchase Er, I think if you read the RNS you will see that Miton have just reduced the holding below 13%. Selling not buying surely?
Re: First purchase GIYou're not alone and Miton putting money to work immediately. 13% a big stake...itsso...
