Another Contract Win Sepura wins contract to expand Toronto Transit Commission TETRA network31st October 2016 - PowerTrunk, part of the Sepura Group, has been awarded a contract to expand the TETRA network of the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). The contract builds on the existing TETRA infrastructure - deployed by Sepura in 2013 - which provides voice and data services both underground, for the metro, and above ground, for TTC's bus and tram networks, as well as Wheel-Trans, a specialised accessible transit service. The first phase of the expansion saw Sepura supply 1000 hand-portable and 600 mobile radios to boost communications across the network, including Wheel-Trans vehicles which are now fully operational on TETRA. The next phase will see the deployment of a number of base stations and additional carriers to support TTC's computer-aided dispatch (CAD) and automatic vehicle location (AVL) project, currently being rolled out across the metro network. A further 1,000 hand-portable radios have been ordered to expand communication with metro staff and eventually replace some analogue data communications systems. "We are delighted that TTC has, once again, placed its trust in Sepura," said David Torres, PowerTrunk's Senior Vice President Sales. "This project will address TTC's evolving operational requirements while making a vital contribution to the safe transportation of millions of passengers."
Re: 11.75p! wasn't a bad call @ 11.75.might test again ?
Observation It is only my observation from a position of ignorance however Cobham's profit warning which follows Laird's profit warning indicates that there is an industry-wide problem in 'wireless communications' in high value markets. This seems to be manifesting itself in delayed orders, delayed revenue recognition (deliveries and acceptance) and substantial working capital outflows (later payments). The good news from my position as a Sepura shareholder is that Sepura is not underperforming in isolation - it may have just been the canary in the coal mine for widespread problems in this 'industry' which are now emerging and affecting 'quality' companies not just little Sepura.SEPU has announced a new chairman and interim CEO. I suspect their first task will be to strengthen the balance sheet to withstand the working capital pressures from later customer payments and possibly slower orders. However with other companies being forced to issue profit warnings, I am actually encouraged that SEPU's business remains competitive and there remains considerable value in the company. It's not a share for widows and orphans but this could be one of the better recovery stocks around.

Re: Strange and getting more strange........ Not been a good week or two for the sp even with the RNS of winning the contract for the SC20 series hand-portable radios.I think looking at the overall picture the company is not just expanding in the US but also all over the world such as the Jordans Special Communication Commission:[link] it is strange to understand what is going on in the background (apart from AIM) that the company is winning contracts but is going reverse. It seems the weakness of the chart at the moment is winning any fundamental or news...Looking at the recent placing I am sure we will find out how much of that is used to pay down the debt. Having also done a little research on other companies such as Thomas Cook back in 2011 / 12 where the sp was trading ~20p and then shot back up near to 150p in approx. 6 months. It goes to show anything is possible as we have the continuous news flow coming through with winning contracts and I am sure in the background they are looking at other new business as well. Also the reassuring thing is the BOD bought loads at 35p:[link] Kearsey & Gordon Watling bought nearly £1m at 35p and so I am still assure to a degree.I still have confidence going forward but the daily slow drop in sp is concerning and so looking ahead I still believe we can only get better IMHO.GL all.

Re: Strange I agree with sentiment here in that I think the drop has been overdone. The unfortunate (or possibly fortunate in the long term) resignation of the CEO made matters worse but if they can get a good replacement that the institutional investors like the price will recover quickly.
Re: Strange Thank you for taking the time and effort with that post it really is appreciated - one thing is for sure it should be a very interesting day today!I bagged some myself late yesterday but I think this may well be a rollercoster into next week once hopefully more should become known. Good Luck here! Now heading over to LSE so may very well catch you there 😏Fitzy
Re: Strange The debt situation was however well known before today, so I am finding it hard to understand such a big drop? The fall in Ebitda seems high but surely some of it expected? As you say the acquisition may well be the cause -but possibly also the solution (in part anyway)
