only my opinion
Re: Results Strong support from those at the helm.230k shares bought (and from 2x chaps). Those in the know should hopefully have a full understanding of where Speedy stand.I sold out of Speedy a while ago, having been a long term holder. Back in today. Not always a guarantee to follow the actions of directors, but often works well. The low oil price seems to be here to stay, and global activity seems to be on the up. Surely not a bad thing for Speedy.
Re: Results More bad news to follow I fear and this could be another kitchen sink job. - 35p looks possible when I may top up. GL
Re: Results Me too. Made some good money and thought the remaining holding pretty safe bet with construction expanding - so this comes as complete surprise. May well dump the lot on the dead cat bounce if there is one.
Re: Results got into speedy as an ashtead alternative - have held for many years. Speedy seem to go from crisis to crisis - middle east strategy - then figures wrong etc etc - now getting out of the middle east is a problem. This should be a good business but they keep going off the rail
Re: Results Well I do know Rogerson's worked for Serco at senior management level and they most certainly were into "massaging" result figures. Or as someone else more aptly called it -accounting skulduggery. Pressure to keep bonuses rather than tell the truth I expect!!
Re: Results In here for years , got in hss at recent ipo, wondered if it was time to get out after hss similar fall last week. But held on.Can it be a coincidence ?
Re: Results Just read the slide presentation - interesting but missing the slide that seeks to address when they can deliver a clean set of numbers! my count this is the 14th set of interim or finals since 2009 that have been contaminated and the 4th for the current Chief Exec.
Results As usual the commentary starts off very positively and then you look into the detail and find that they have gone backwards yet again - just the £17m of exceptionals this year - par for the course!
Re: SDY Chart Looks Very Bullish....... SDY up to its usually roller coaster ride. It had a sharp drop recently for no apparent reason but has now regained most of that with this rise. I certainly believe it will keep improving with steady management and this improving econ outlook - so recommend buying on weakness.
