Re: Non Execs Can you expand on this story.Or link...... thanks..
Re: Non Execs now we know why they left - makes me chuckle 2 businesses that have world class ability to destroy shareholder value wanting to get together to share worst practice - I am a holder in both - not feeling particularly enthused!
Non Execs Two Non Execs disappear in the space of 2 days - what's that about?
No Worries Reckon the two large sells pre noon are delayed posts from 3rd Nov. when Kames Capital reduced their stake to 2.76%.
If revenues are 10% behind last year then that suggests a £35m reduction - £6m of people cost reductions is not going to compensate for revenue miss!
NEW ARTICLE: Speedy Hire collapses after fresh warning "Sacking the last chief executive and devising a turnaround plan was supposed to address major issues at LSE:SDY:Speedy Hire. They haven't, and fixing the tool hire firm will clearly take much longer than expected. It's why a second profits ..."[link]
Re: speedy down the tubes? Yes, I have to say in light of the downbeat update the short term potential even puts 35p as too high. I do not even see a T/O situation until there is more clarity. This is a massive management problem as the construction industry is doing well.
Re: speedy down the tubes? Its at the level were you posted you might top up , have you changed your mind bowood ?
Re: speedy down the tubes? Update suggests a loss for the year and with massive borrowings relative to mc the future is very bleak.
hss
the hire industry imho is on its knees for the big boys ,any one in the game will tell you hire rates have been at same rate for years if nit less ,big firms like balfour and carrilion go from one big player to the next every few years getting new kit into the bargain and the profit margin for hire companies is next to nothing...Only ones who seem to be winning at moment is GAP and A Plant
Speedy are buying a lot of new kit recently plant and small tools
speedy down the tubes? I promised myself to sell after poor results but sp seemed to pick up a bit and didn't bother. Now seems to be hurtling down again, haven't seen anything so wonder what is afoot?
Re: Golden Cross Posted after recent big fall back , in again today @ 51.5.long term holder , seen previous ups and downs .hoping it repeats that.
speedy need to spend money on new kit investment depot managers need more say in buying kit using local customer knowledge,t,the need fitters in depots ,not doing round robin trips to msc, there rivals like A Plant & GAP are not shy in spending money when it matter
