Re: New presentation in London Are you planning to go ? I can't, I'm in Italy.TP

New presentation in London Hardman are organising a presentation by SCE (for free) on January 20th in London FYI - hopefully there'll be some news to present about:[link]

gretel 10 Dec 2015

New Investors Champion article [link] have certainly moved on nicely: "When we published our Ten Bagger article on Surface Transforms in August 2013 (when the share price was 10 pence) the Company was discussing the possibility of 3 or 4 potential “game changing” contracts. One aircraft contract was confirmed later in 2013 and the pipeline of game changing contracts has increased to 8 today - 3 aerospace (including one already won) and 5 automotive".

Re: directors talk Very positive stuff from DB..... - aerospace : mainstream aerospace production will start in 2017 - auto : SCE have "won this business" at one British OEM, and will have £1m sales per annum rising to £6m per annum (I assume the "millions" he talks about are pounds rather than numbers of units!). And this is from the smallest of the 5 auto customers SCE are working with.

Re: Excellent trading update today Solid progress in core business with tempting information previously about 'game changers'.Nice rise to boot !Still looking forward to further developments.Luck all, TP

Excellent trading update today A very encouraging trading update: - close to operating cash break-even in H1 - much improved sales and results in H1 - confidence in H2 meeting expectations - "five game changing automotive contract discussions", which should lead to contracts in the next year

Re: New presentation Thanks for the link, G. Certainly looks promising, although, I'm not sure we should be pushing the 50% margins. People will think we're making too much money ! (Especially prospective customers)But, good news nevertheless.Regards, TP

Re: Notes from AGM Thanks G. All sounds +ve. Just waiting now for formal announcements then.Should maybe have a little top up, averaging up though.Regards, TP

Notes from AGM This summary from yesterday's AGM by "longshanks" elsewhere is well worth noting."Meeting was well attended and there were few spare seats available.Overall the presentation largely followed what is shown in the one publicly available but there were some interesting details covered that are commercially sensitive and hence only presented at the AGM.My initial thoughts were that the company has matured substantially from where they were three years ago. They have a very impressive technical team overseeing production and sales and significant automotive OEM interest. It is frustrating that they have been unable to make any announcements but it is clear from some of the details given in the AGM and in private discussion after that contracts with one British and one German OEM are very well developed with ST seen as the only choice for the models/versions under consideration.""The company raised money at the time principally because it was skint. That said though, a significant percentage of the new capital has been invested in developing their manufacturing process and recruiting a strong team of experienced engineers. All this team was at the AGM - and were allowed to talk freely and candidly. There is s very strong sense of purpose about the company now; and I would fully expect them to announce a new manufacturing site within the next six months on the back of an automotive OEM contract. Naturally such a development will require additional capital and no doubt shareholders will once again be given the opportunity to take part although it would seem the business is attracting plenty of interest from new investors who see the business as a high margin manufacturer with limited competition.I can easily see the company manufacturing 100k discs within 5 years, selling them at £500 each with a 50% gross margin."

Re: Intriguing Agreed Gretel, but it does say "and", not "or", so I'm very hopeful that we'll get some info in the next few weeks, in addition to the first quarter of 2016.Happy Christmas !!And a very happy New Year !TP

Re: Intriguing Hi theprior. A buy at 20.88p today I see....In September's results RNS SCE said of the gamechangers:"the Board is confident that they will be able to make positive announcements regarding this during the remainder of 2015 and early 2016."So let's aim for something for before the March year end - though this calendar year would be better ))

Re: Intriguing "Watch this space" comment Sounds promising, Gretel. A busy factory is just what the doctor ordered.Hope we have "game changing " news soon, the year end is fast approaching !Regards,TP

gretel 08 Nov 2015

Intriguing "Watch this space" comment ....on Facebook from SCE after the Advanced Engineering Show....[link] the Show is over and everything packed away after a successful couple of days working with our good friends at the Niche Vehicle Network. It was also good to meet up with both current and also new contacts and discuss all the exciting new projects that they are working on: hopefully a new application or two will come out of those discussions. It looks like being an even busier time in the factory at Ellesmere Port over the coming weeks and months. Watch this space"
